Just wondering about what the Grant Smith fan club thought about his little mistake that allowed Grigg to score his second goal at Bromley?

His ground slapping backwards attempt to bring Grigg down was amusing.

Any goalkeeper who messes about with the ball in front of Will Grigg, has either, not seen the videos, or loves egg on his face.

Fair play to Grant Smith for not going full National League and pretending he'd been fouled (which he clearly wasn't), rolling about, as most refs would have caved in and bought that.
These go to eleven.

Yep.
If we are going to do well, it's crucial that our goalkeeping department is amongst the best in this league. It's not yet clear to me that this has been achieved.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

I hope we stick with Booot for at least one more game, the slippery conditions for both keepers at Bromley didnt help. What does Thompson bring that warrants a start? He wont be here next season just like Tyrer. Ryan has been brilliant so far and has 2 out of 9 iffy performances, he was great at Donny.

Boot looked extremely shaky against Bromley. Time for a change.

Just looked through this thread for the first time. Tbh can?t understand why we?re targeting Boot who?s been Mr Consistent so far. Certainly doesn?t deserve being dropped for a couple of errors when we could find much more in the back, midfield or attack since the start of the season.

If you want to take aim you should start by asking the manager why he?s made certain unnecessary changes to our line-up. By way of example I could quote Jacobs in favour of Banks. Not a question of squad rotation as Banks wasn?t even on the bench at our last home game and it could be argued he didn?t put a foot wrong in his last starting game.

It?s not difficult to work out that we?ve done well so far against teams who play a similar style of football to us but we?ve struggled against the cloggers and a style of play which has been more direct (no need to quote examples). They?re in the majority I guess in this league.

It points to a lack of adapting our tactics (let?s face it PC has said on numerous occasions that he has one way of playing and this has been evident so far this year).

If we have any ambition to be in the promotion slots or playoffs he needs to seriously change his style though I doubt he?s capable of doing it. It worked in the NL but strangely he puts the onus on the players alone to up their level as he correctly says is completely different from one league to another. Sorry but we have the quality in the squad. It?s down to him to deliver depending on the opposition. Managers and coaching staff are much more competent now in the EFL and I wonder whether he?s capable to adapt.

I know it won?t go down well but it?s the reality. We won?t get promotion by playing the same style in every game. Personally I find it a bit of a laugh when he keeps stum about the injuries etc in the press conferences when we know whatever the line-up he?s never going to adapt our game according to the opposition.

Cook so far at CFC :
Promotion from league two as champions.
JPT finalists.
Vanarama National leagus play off finalists.
Vanarama National league winners - by a country mile.

Elseswhere:
Promotion at Portsmouth.
Promotion at Wigan Athletic.

You really think he doesn't know what he's doing ?
How about we pass judgement in May ?

Hey up Nigel, you've missed League One play offs from your list.

It's a truly remarkable achievement for a club our size.

It's a sign of getting older.
Thanks for the reminder.

With respect his record isn?t that impressive and let?s face it the better managers know how to adapt nowadays. Don?t get me wrong I?m a supporter of this club like all the posters on this board but I don?t think he?s got the ability to move us on. No doubt he?s a great bloke and genuine but it doesn?t win the league. Hope I?m proved wrong by May as you say
