Yep be a trickier job to replace for Gateshead this time around. Think when Williamson left Elliott didnt go with him and stayed to take the job on but this time as you say a number of the staff have gone with Elliott so that continuity wont be there.

Gateshead have a decent team and squad, and will easily make the playoffs. I can see them appointing an up and coming manager from National North or South. It seems a good club to cut your teeth at in management.

So true sadly. Elliot was director of football and not a main coach but the key man left behind when mike went was player coach louis storey who became assistant manager and continued to be a excellent player and at 32 had another 3-4 year in him. Maybe the success of recruiting from within (the liverpool way in the 80s and 90s) has come to a end

Not sure they?ve sorted the issues as yet that would let them get promoted either which could be a hindrance getting a new man.

I thought he might have been an out of contract player we were looking at. His name always cropped up.

Well, at least it will save him moaning about playing on plastic pitches, in a division which has seven out of ten clubs playing on them. Dreadful managerial record he has, so far. Rumoured he was on 5k a week at ICT- no wonder they are in admin.
