Highlight of yesterday is definitely Cook having a pop at our simpleton fans. More power to him. Should do it more often.

Hopefully he comes and stands in the kop and personally rings some of the brain dead Stone Island brigade's necks. I'm sick to death of the complete morons.

Yes it's an interesting term. However we have always had that 1000/1500 floating voters who turn up for the big games. Given all the empty seats yesterday I was surprised that there were 7,600 there yesterday.
Much prefer tourist fans to 'fans' who rubbish the team at every given opportunity. We can certainly manage without them.

Cookie said as much on 1866 after the game, Dunkley is not in the team to have lots of possession, he?s there to be our best defender.

We just need to tweak the system to allow Dunkley to play it simple to one of the central midfielders, maybe signing Fleck may have been in his thinking for this?
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Seems a bit harsh to dig people out for observing the very thing he's said he's not in the team to do though.

I don?t think he was singling out any individual, it was more a reflection on how we were playing as a team

Well opposition Managers have quickly sussed let Dunkley have the ball and his distribution will do the rest. The question is what will our vast coaching team do to combat that.

Never looked at this opening post but it?s up there with the worst , Dunkley is exactly what we missed last year, no nonsense and stops silly goals being conceded , I find it hard that he can be criticised for anything, come on Walton admit it you only ever had a beach ball as a kid

Loved his first touch in their penalty area on Saturday to give us the lead.

However, as you say, his main job is to keep the goals against total down and he is contributing very well in that department too.

Walton punctured the beach ball after just a few minutes with his sharp wit!

Dunkleys distribution wasn't helped by playing on the left prior to Saturday, as a technically average right footer it limited his options. More comfortable on the right, much easier to find an out ball. Really good defender.

Reckon the back four that played Saturday will be very solid.

Yep. That.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that we might look back on this season's squad as one of the best that we've had in very (very) many years. I also suspect that the level of disappointment regarding the loss of Dallas and Tyrer will be nothing in comparison to the return of Tanton and Araujo to Fulham come June next year. Tanton is quality and Araujo has the potential to be another Fikayo Tomori.

Good times.
