Let?s be honest, a proportion of our fans are absolutely thick. I didn?t go yesterday but my mate sits in C5 and he said there was allsorts of absolute nonsense being shouted by some at cookie and the team yesterday

?Relegation form Cookie? was one
?Gerrrit forward? numerous times, followed by moans when we try to do just that and it doesn?t work?

No wonder Cooks giving it to some of them, they fully deserve it.

Entitlement is one way to look at it, zero football brain is another though. We?re a newly promoted team that?s had a big shake up, don?t know what folk expect.

The only slight criticism is the striker issue, we had all our eggs in the Grigg basket and when he doesn?t play we look lost. We need a plan B striker off the bench regardless of when he?s fit, as I don?t think Drummond is up too it (yet)

Madden is a striker

Let's face it, a significant minority of supporters at ALL clubs are basically jerks. And terminally brain dead ones at that.
This board reflects that.

Post match Cook is having a go at the fans!

Madness

Love Cook being our manager, don't want him to leave, want him here forever blah blah blah - but if he can't get his head around fans immediate frustrations on 90mins when we haven't dispatched another dog droppings team, he needs to give that head a wobble.
When the dust settles that day after and (most) folk realise we sat it a healthy position and look at the bigger picture, it looks a lot better than it feels at the time.
Emotions run high after a game, so Cook also needs to realise this when he spouts about fan reaction or pointing the finger.
Love Cook tho, give him a 10 year contract ect ect

I?m presuming he was referring to the last couple of minutes when we recycled the ball all the way back from their half. Someone / people must have said something because he turned around to the section behind him and had a go. 30 seconds later we pumped the ball forward and it went straight out - cook turned around to the same section and sarcastically applauded as if to say ?there you go?

He turned round to the left of him twice, no one behind him gave him any grief.we stopped behind as usual to clap them off although very frustrated with the result.

Highlight of yesterday is definitely Cook having a pop at our simpleton fans. More power to him. Should do it more often.

Yes it's an interesting term. However we have always had that 1000/1500 floating voters who turn up for the big games. Given all the empty seats yesterday I was surprised that there were 7,600 there yesterday.

That's how football works. More people go when there are big games and or a team is higher up the table. No mystery.

As for the 'attendance' yesterday, isn't it tickets issued rather than seats occupied?

That is what concerns me about this we should be grateful of consolidation nonsense. The new support is bound to be more fickle as they have seen nothing but a winning team. We need a minimum of good performances and wins at home or they'll drift away along with some who should know better.

Seats Issued? Yes and Walton will know that

It?s not far off a brand new squad, only Dobra, DJ and Berry from last season started yesterday I?m sure I clocked.

Naylor and Boot were also in last year?s squad.

Dunkley is the best defensive CH at the club. When our players give him the ball on the halfway line he looks for an out ball. More often than not his teammates don't give him one. And that's the start of the problem. When he doesn't have an out ball Dunkley looks to play a difficult through ball. Or he sometimes tries to run the ball forward. And he gets understandably annoyed. The answer is for his team mates to show for him when he gets the ball, to give him easy options. Which they will.

He was dreadful, just kept booting the ball out of play

Fulham lad never did that

He wasn?t dreadful. He defended well but I agree his distribution was dreadful

Similar to Dobra, whose play outside the box was great, but his shooting and decision making was very poor.

Dunkley is our best CB by a mile. I would like to see him partnered with Araujo though
