Has to go down as another "should've won". We threw that. Again. Which in a way takes the edge off as we've not been outplayed by anyone except Port Vale. If we can stop flinging points away as if we're allergic to them or something, that'd be smashing.

All will 'click' with fleck in the team.
Positives:
- Young Fulham centre half looks very capable
- Colclough and Madden looked bright when they came on
- Berry is a real handful
- Oldaker seems really motivated this season

The doom merchants are having a field day. What will happen when we lose the first home game?

Disappointing though we did more than enough to win. Seems a lack of intensity to me at the moment. Not sure why that would be but we need to find our edge again if we're to
turn give away draws into wins. If Dobra was clinical he'd be heading to the top but looks like we'll be able to hold on to him on current showing in front of goal!

Realistic. We simply don't look good enough. People say we should be beating 'this type of team' , but we're not. We're no better than them.

I agree. Dobra needs to take off his glory specs and execute the simple things, well, simply.

Folk did say, mid table this year, go for it next year, and that's exactly how it's looking.

Mystifying as to why Naylor isn't playing midfield.

Ditto as to why Drummond is starting up top. Our squad is absolutely stacked in midfield and shy up top and in central defence. Grimes should have been offloaded if we don't think he can do it in this league.

Boot

Tanton/Campell Araujo Dunkley Gordon

Naylor Fleck/Oldaker

Markanday Dobra/Madden Colclough/Berry

Madden/Berry

Madden's movement and poise is a class above.

Really poor. We are so slow in possession and everyone takes a touch more than they need to. The matches we?ve drawn at home have been criminal considering the level of opposition

I agree there seems to be a lack of urgency when in possession, and all 3 draws against very poor teams. You could think we?re lacking up front but difficult to accept when Dobra misses 3 golden chances and then too greedy with one he should have teed up Berry or Drummond on a plate in the 1st half.

The warning signs are also there at the back. We?re also very vulnerable when the ball gets put through the heart of the defence. The lad who came on for them should have scored

The last 15m in particular were terrible to watch despite a decent display by Colclough when he came on.

That was all just a bit?meh. Slow, ponderous, predictable, not really sure what we?re trying to do most of the time. Markanday seems so wide as to not really affect play, has to be closer to goal. The right side generally just seemed off. Drummond invisible and not ready. CBs had very limited options so it keeps ending up with Boot.

Fair to say there?s work to do, but good to see some returning players and hopefully that?ll help us kick on

Well another two points against what looked like a poor team and not particularly physical either.

Nearly all three at the death with all those misplaced passes. Really thought we were about to be sucker punched

Dunkley's passing is woeful

His attitude today, particularly late on was terrible.

Answered back to cookie 2 or 3 times and had ?petulant teenager? vibes about this body language.

Fair result, given how languid we were, second half, and how up for it they were.
Araujo has offered much more than Metcalfe. Naylor offers more to the side in midfield than at the back, so I hope Cook makes that change.
These go to eleven.

Very frustrating result, should have been an easy 3 points!! Arajuo to start for me, Naylor into midfield. Very slow getting the ball forward at times. Dobra MOM, just wish he had buried that chance 2nd half.

Another 2 points lost rubbish 2 Nd half

At least it's a point closer to safety. Were no going to go up this season as we are too easy to play against but hopefully we have enough to stay up

Think we?d have a better balance with him left, dunkley right and Naylor alongside Oldaker. That said I thought Metcalfe did ok today.

The usual suspects will always throw a wobbly when we don?t win but on this occasion it?s hard to disagree. It was very very dull. We need to get more energy from somewhere. It?s boring to watch. Obviously the claims we won?t do owt this season are nonsense, it?s still early but we do need to be better at home.

It was better than last week, but not great.

Colclough's directness should have won us the game really. Unfortunately Mandeville struggled to have an impact on the other side. Not sure why Dobra was trying to hit the top corner when anything low and hard was in the net.

Boot's error cost us the win, though they might argue their man's slip was what gave us the lead.

I'm not distraught at a point, we're new to the division still and the team is still evolving. It's a long season and anything from 7th upwards will be a successful season which I think we will manage.

football hey... first half was a stroll in the park and we take a deserved lead, could perhaps have had more, 2nd half they get a huge run of the ball (i'd need to see it again but looked just an unlucky one for us) and then it becomes difficult. Aaraujo looks a very good player to me from what i saw and for a young centre back coming into a game, showed some real calm about him, in turn it got naylor into midfield, which we definitely need going forward.
On teh downside, i was all for drummond getting a go but he really did not affect the game at all, madden showed in 10 minutes what was needed.
i still think onec we get our better players on the pitch for longer periods of the game we will be fine, just a bit of a frustrating start at home so far.
