Letting quigley go was a mistake in my eyes would of served well as back up to grigg and madden especially with both of there recent injuries

Nah he wouldn?t really. He?s blatantly not a FL quality player

There's no evidence that Quigley could serve well as a back up to Grigg, except as a substitute. When given the opportunity to start matches in a lower league towards the end of last season he did nowt, and we lost matches. Maybe a harsh conclusion, but it's what Cook saw.

Sad but true. Maybe JQ is another of those who becomes a better player in some people's head now he's left.

Agreed. Just because he ran around a lot and seemed like a nice bloke is not reason to retain him

Regarding Quigley, he wasn't good enough for this level, I think he'd been better with a strike partner, and you couldn't deny him a better deal and cash in the bank. He wasn't getting another contract with us, that's for sure.
If Grigg's injury is worse than we hoped, then we may have to play a square pegs while Paddy Madden gains fitness. Here's hoping Will Grigg is ok.

Need to push fullbacks up more play a holding midfielder Nayllor and get midfielders making runs rather than as we were on Saturday, all behind the ball with loads of possession but no attack.

Banks not good at this level not strong enough. Oldaker playing well so far but needs help next to him.

One thing this thread is proving is that we have a lot of expert tacticians on here who know exactly what we need to do!

Hope Cook is reading and taking notes

Agreed, we are remodelling the squad with players of a higher standard, it?s possible that we could?ve kept JQ and maybe if Grigg was injured earlier we may have done so but ultimately we?ve done right by Joe and maybe the cash and wage adjustment is what allowed us to sign Fleck.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Away from home banks needs to employed as a ten , he likes to get on the ball but isn?t strong enough ior probably quick enough to get on it centrally so drops deeper to get it, this leaves us exposed, at least as a ten he can find space between defence and midfield without ruining our shape

I agree, and I'd go as far to say that Banks is the best we've got in that position, and once Fleck is ready to go, he'd be joining Naylor in midfield. Hard on DJ but we need the ball moving and not being held up.
