That can't be right, cos Walton said they were both crap (as well as saying that Dunkley is slow).

It was interesting seeing Tanton being subbed. After a fabulous display, he was absolutely dead on his feet and if he's made a full recovery then he's had a very steep learning curve that can only make him better.

The full back position, left and right are well catered for. Dunkley isn't slow and Grimes isn't particularly slow either, but to get centre backs with pace, presence and ball control will have us vying with the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal for their signature.

Interesting that he approached Tairn rather than vice-versa.

And he was the one asking if there might be a deal available.

Reading between the lines we might've acquired an upgrade on the eternally popular Mike Jones almost by accident...

I agree, Chris. Interesting.

Let us hope he is the required upgrade because I feel we could see Mike retire at the end of this season and I do not really see him starting many games throughout it.

More impressed by Gordon with each game passing.I thought against Grimsby, for the last fifteen,we just kept letting them run at
us down our right wing giving them far too much room, but the actual defending around the box was a real team effort from players who gave all for the shirt.Meant a lot to me after the past few years.

Not to mention his appearances in the other box, heading against the bar and being up in support when Tantons shot was saved by the keeper.

Interview with Fleck from Football Heaven tonight I presume. Interesting bit on his injury from last season where it seems he got a small fracture in his leg but they put a plate in when operating that was too big and that caused issues/pain going forward. Got kicked on it during his Blackburn debut and in the end had to go to a different surgeon where they changed the plate for a smaller one and been good since.

That would suggest hopefully some of the concerns on here about his injuries are very unfounded.

Rumours from the underground of a PC new contract signed & due to be announced in the coming weeks. Naylor will remain CB until January where it?ll be reassessed & Bez has championship suitors / scouts attending games.

No surprise that Bez is attracting bigger clubs, he seems to have gone up a gear or two.
Same with Cook. From the horses mouth in interviews, he knows the grass isn't greener on the other side and the fact that it's a great fit in all ways possible for him to do his job is a dream.
I rather have Naylor back to where he is best, Grimes can't be that far off. Unless he prefers Naylor to Grimes??

I wondered about the timing of the DT interview with him published yesterday. Now it makes sense.

Was thinking exactly the same. Both club and manager are a good fit for each other, the fans love him, he seems to have a good relationship with those above him at the club...it just all seems to fit.

I'd love nothing more than PC to still be Town's manager in 10 years.

Here's a wild rumour. Somebody told me he's bought a house in Matlock. Probably rubbish. The rumour, not the house.

If that is true that is the best signing we could have hoped for !

With the Kirk?s seemingly happy to finance the club and everything else associated with the club heading in the right direction I can only see more success on the horizon
