It?s this sort of thing the club still needs to improve on. There?ll be plenty of room for more tickets. I assume Port Vale released so many initially?but this is an automated system, alerts can be set up so that our ticket office is informed immediately on any occurrence they deem fit so that they can respond in literally minutes.

Yeah it's made a few who don't have tickets panic this morning. 99% certain there's an additional allocation and we've only put a certain number on sale, but would be good to get that message out there and get the others on sale

Tickets seem to be on sale now, on the official site.
I haven't tried to watch Town on an IPTV stream at 3pm on a Saturday yet this season- will there be coverage somewhere? I could make it to Stoke but would have to rush back, and one of the last times I went, the police locked us in for ages so as the Vale fans could chuck bricks at us and come round to our end en masse to form a welcoming committee.
These go to eleven.

Those days are long gone. Away fans are now in the opposite end so no issues at all.

Tickets sold out but can still pay on the day. No idea how much the initial allocation was.

We were allocated 1300 tickets and these are sold out. The away area accommodates c3000 with the balance of tickets being available at the ground on the day. Distribution is ?sit where you wish?.

My attention was drawn to a thread on the Vale forum - various comments here have been quoted here which make us sound like a right bunch of bedwetters.

Should be a few more than that. I never thought about purchasing tickets until I tried last night and found them sold out

Not surprised, some of the comments on here make it look like we're off to the gaza strip.

There have been issues attending the so called "Wembley of the North" (actually misnamed but still.. ) over the years and some unsavoury encounters with them here, including the old social club being the scene of a pitched battle. Also one of the last meetings at Saltergate saw the laughable sight of half a dozen Stoke pensioners stood across Tennyson Avenue offering entertainment, met with some mirth and later a black eye for one. Hopefully all in the past but some of our youth seem keen to resurrect it.
Whether or not there are welcoming drinking establishments in Burslem remain to be seen.
