* may destroy marriages
(actually, it's pretty good for spending time with the wife whilst pretending to listen to her).
These go to eleven.

Remember it well on the Commodore 64. Anyone old enough might remember Kevin Toms' (the author of FM) mugshot in Your Computer and Zzap 64.

Showing my age now.

I got into playing it when I had my Amiga so a bit later than that. I started playing again during lockdown but found a rejigged version of the 01/02 version that works on windows. Just find it a bit less in depth so you get on with it a bit quicker. Can dip in and out better but I did get town from national league to winning the prem and champions league.

It was Paul and Oliver Collyer that created Championship Manager in 1992 which then became the current Football Manager when it moved to Sega. Kevin Toms created a completely separate game. Anything he now creates cannot be called Football Manager as Sega hold the rights to the name.

Booted up my old creaking laptop and loaded up my Athletic Bilbao save for the first time in a could have years a few days ago. I?m in 2040-something. Appreciate the free download but this could be very dangerous for me.

For anyone who?s unaware, Epic give away free games every week, usually 2. There have been plenty of big games such as Borderlands 3, GTA 5 and Death Stranding, given away over the years. The free games are released at 4 pm every Thursday. No catch, no card details required, just create an account and claim and they are yours to keep forever. PC only. At Christmas they usually give a free game every day for a 2 week period.

If you are a gamer its worth noting FM25 will be "free" on Xbox Gamepass.

FM 24 and 23 were downloadable and playable from the games' launch date on Gamepass. Usually October time if memory serves from last year.

Claimed it and loaded it onto my Steam Deck (using the Junk Store plug in for those who know what I?m talking about).
It?s a bit (a lot) more complex than when I first played about 30 years ago. I?m bound to get Town relegated.
