I know I'm going to get pelters for this but is he really actually any good?

Been trying to articulate my thoughts on this and I wonder if our playing style really suits him.

Not convinced he should be the man moving forwards. He's no Eoin Doyle.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Really? Not a wind up? Then again there might be some Man City fans who don't rate Haaland as he doesn't put himself about much.

He?s a fox in the box, he?ll constantly get into goal scoring areas, and when he isn?t doing that hell hold the ball up, bring the ball down from goal kicks and bring others into play

However I would like to see a powerhouse up top, said to my mates yesterday someone like ikpeazu back in the day would be lovely, however I?m not sure cooks ever played with a striker like that.

Sooner or later we will have another striker to partner Will. I am sure of that, PC isn't daft and knows if Will gets injured we might struggle. It's what he does off the ball that some miss, pulling defenders out of position to give others a chance.

If we pepper the opposition box like we did vs Gillingham, any other day Grigg gets on the end of one or two.

We are in a fragile place with only Grigg until Madden gets fit. Hopefully there is a fit free agent out there, however it appears PC will be wait for Madden if yesterdays interview is anything to go by.

As I mentioned somewhere else Emile Heskey wasn't a prolific goalscorer, but you're not telling me you didn't see his work on and off the ball for the teams he played for. Liverpool wouldn't have lashed out the cash on him if he was a dud. Will Grigg doesn't just score goals, although he hasn't done that bad while playing for Paul Cook. You'll never see a 25yd wonder goal from Grigg, because he'll be waiting in the box to pick up the loose ball. He's never going to score every chance he gets, because the way we play he'd be on 30 goals by Christmas. Give things a chance and for players to bed in, and for those who are injured to come back.
Will Grigg is one of the best strikers in the league and I'll think he'll be on 20+ by the end of the season.

He is good.

He wasn't at his best yesterday.

Do we need other options? Yes.

With you on that, and with Quigley going out on deadline day, I think we missed out on someone that evening.
Drummond will more than likely play up top on Tuesday because we can't lose Grigg to injury.

So moving forwards to Saturday, you're dropping Will and putting in who?

Are you the clown who was moaning about Grigg along with your son, throughout the match. 25goals last season and probably the same targeted for this season. 4 games in and your moaning, get a life and get behind the WHOLE team. We are playing some good football but the defenders have to waken up.

Agree. Griggs probably best striker in this league and probably be one of best in league 1 for that matter imo . of course he's good enough and can see him bang at least 20 goals in again.
