Yeah, he was always going to be a bench player for us in most games, those last few games last year when Grigg was injured probably made Cook?s mind up about his long term future.

Good player for us. Always gave 100% and had a lot more to his game than he was given credit for. Always thought him being a foil for another striker in a front two would have suited his game best.

A move to Forest Green is a good result for both parties. Best of luck Joe.

Wasn?t Quigley out of contract at the end of this season? If so, excellent business with a fee.

Realistically the fee will have been nominal. The business is in having him off the wage bill and the squad trimming.

Not sure that the fee will have been nominal.

It could be a decent figure as FGR were reported to have offered ?120k for Cardwell at Southend.

Certainly, with Quigley and Akinola going out it reduces our squad of over 21yo players down to the maximum 22 if both Sheckleford and Palmer are included.

If they are both likely to be out for another 2 to 3 months I suspect they will not be included in our final listings and will be allowed out on loan to help with their fitness when the time comes. As such, is it possible we might yet see a couple more permanent signings?
