Thompson-Sommers anybody? Rogerwillis's post has stuck with me and it was a good shout.

Left sided defensive midfielder contracted to Halifax but I don't think he's played this season. I can't find owt at all about him since last season.

Quick search on Twitter brings this up from an hour ago:

Forest Green Rovers are set to sign striker Harry Cardwell from National League promotion rivals Southend United.

Yesterday FGR triggered the former Reading mans release clause of ?120k and he looks set to sign a three year deal.

It is reported Forest Green are going to triple his current salary. They want to seal completed in time for their game this weekend.

Martyn Waghorn among the PFA free agents close to signing for a new EFL club. Waghorn left Derby in the summer but close to joining a League Two side.

How home?
I live in Alvaston, and most mates say he was still effective for Derby in L1 last season. (7 goals in 24 games.)
I saw him come on against Bolton, and made a nuisance of himself.
I think he might be a good addition with his experience and physical game.

I could see Waghorn happening to be honest. Similar profile to Quigley, but a much better player and loads of experience. If Quigley is off as were led to believe, then Cook would probably want to replace that profile of player like for like.

Would be some experience in our front line with Grigg, Madden & Waghorn!

Jenson Metcalfe is rumour going around.

Looks like a young defensive midfielder from Everton on loan.

Wouldn?t count towards registration and a position I think we need over any others right now.

Because simply put he?s just not very good. He has the odd game where he looked OK but the majority of the time he made that team far worse. Spent more time on the treatment table than on the field too. Avoid.

But would take our loans up to 5 so no Brown unless he qualifies as a youth development loan if that's even a thing
