Mine arrived last week and i was very surprised at the quality, superb! I took it on holiday expecting to read it on/off over a few days? I couldn?t put it down and finished it in a day! An added bonus was to find a photo of my grandson included, a flag bearer at the famous Boreham Wood game?. What a souvenir! Highly recommended to all Spireite fans. For those saying they don't want to be reminded of those dark/bad days well, there?s a saying which goes something like ?to be able to appreciate and enjoy good times, you have to go through bad times?. And boy have we done that! Fantastic book, it?s a keeper and one to add to the collection.

Congratulations to Dave & Michael for having the idea and commitment to put it all together.

Hi Rik I'm so pleased that you like the book after buying it based on my review. After saying that it had better be good you had me worried that you would come looking for me if you didn't like it lol.
It's great that it contains a picture of your grandson in it and that in itself is something to treasure and has given the book added value to you.
Enjoy the book and this coming season my friend. ;)

Thanks so much for the comment. We are delighted to hear that it's gone down so well and was great fun to put together. We put as many fan photos in as we could too so lovely to hear from people when they spot themselves in the book! We've now got under 30 copies left and I doubt we will be printing anymore so the last chance to grab one. We've sold nearly 350 copies and donated to the Ernie Moss Memorial Fund so thanks to everyone who has grabbed a copy.

Have the club advertised this on your behalf? because given the crowds over the last cpl of years the fact that this magnificent book will only sell 350 copies is scandalous, it?s a magnificent effort guys. A true Magnum Opus.
To anyone who reads this forum if you haven?t got a copy then get one ordered sharpish.

I was a bit disappointed to be honest. It?s not what I expected. I thought it would be an actual book about the trials and tribulations of the NL years but it?s really just a collection of photographs from random matches through that period with the odd quote here and there. Before anyone says so, no I couldn?t do better myself. Fair play to them putting it together though, it?s just not what I expected.

It?s nothing against this book whatsoever, I?m sure it?s as good as you say it is. I think the main reason for that is most just want to forget the national league years ever existed. I certainly do.
