You?ve answered your own question. We don?t urgently need anyone else at this stage other than a goal keeper.

Save the funds for a rainy day. A few weeks ago cook mentioned a ? transitional? period with the new players. Let that period settle
And then look at another player is my thoughts.

The slight flaw in this plan is that come the window closing we have what we have, not like the National League where we could sit on what we had and if anything had happened we could have signed someone any time until towards the end of March. Back in the league we need to make sure we are happy we have what we need to get us to January.

It'll certainly be interesting to see who does come in, but we know one will be a goalie for sure. If it's to be a plan B striker, what do we want?

Me neither mate, but I'm sure someone on here will put us right.

a maximum of five loanees can be named in any one matchday squad - or four, if one of them is an emergency goalkeeper loan.

How many can we loan from the same parent club mate?

As per my post on previous page....5 in matchday squad, 4 from one club but of those 4 only 2 over 23yrs old.

Quote

55.4.1 A maximum of 5 Players registered on a Temporary Loan Transfer can be named in the Players listed on a Team Sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. This maximum shall reduce to 4 Players where a Club names a player on the team sheet who is registered on an Emergency Goalkeeper Loan

55.4.2 No Club may sign more than 4 Players on a Temporary Loan Transfer from another Club (or club) in any Season, of which no more than 2 Players may be over the age of 23. The deadline for determining a Player?s age in this respect shall be as at the 30 June prior to the Season in which the Temporary Loan Transfer is intended to take place. Any Temporary Loan Transfer which subsequently becomes a permanent transfer shall not count against a Club?s quota of such Temporary Loan Transfers for that Season.

Cheers, I'll be looking through Fulham's under 21s for a striker then 😁.

Even at League 2 level you dont get pitches that are mud baths these days, its not like trying to run around on a bog at Holmebrook Valley Park in January! There will be very few if any heavy pitches these days.

Should have said heavier pitches.

Jordan Ammisah turned out for the PFA free agent team yesterday. No idea his pedigree or ability but he left the blades in the summer so geographically it could work.

There were dozens of matches called off in L1 and L2 last season due to waterlogged pitches. Pitches that would not dry out in winter, even when the rain stopped. Even our own pitch, with excellent drainage got heavy and cut up.
A little bit of sunshine and people forget the cold wet winter months.

Been on loan with Burton Albion but only played two games although he played 18 with Spennymoor Town on loan the year before. He could be one to bring on I suppose while covering for Ryan Boot. Just depends if we have others in the pipeline.

Max Thompson goalkeeper from Newcastle United heading our way apparently. He was on loan at Northampton Town last season.
