Hope I?m wrong but I get the nagging feeling something might happen before the transfer window closes. As has been acknowledged he?s playing the best football of his career and seems to have his temperament more under control. This will not have gone unnoticed. Presumably he has reached the stage when he will want to further his career. Just hope it?s with us.

Imho for what it's worth he would be wise to stop with us longer and get himself in shop window would give him choices

I really hope we keep him for at least another season, more if possible. I think the reason he's become even more effective is that he doesn't usually stay down when he's pushed over now - he bounces back to his feet and keeps going. We need to get the ball to him as often as possible when he finds space in those positions 10/15 yards outside the opposition penalty area. He's even better now at darting into the area giving defenders the choice of letting him go on or risking a penalty by diving in. I just hope referees are switched on enough to protect him from being chopped down.

From what we all witnessed yesterday, I can't see Dobra or any other town player getting any protection from the officials. He has matured as a player and being less greedy has created more scoring opportunities for him.
As for moving on, what would we get for Dobs, because he's not the finished article, far from in fact. A few hundred grand at the moment from a speculative league one club.

Dobs is one of our better players at driving forward as soon as he gets the ball. Which sometimes we do not do enough of.

I don't think we will be bullied into accepting low ball offers with the current owners. They aren't struggling to pay the bills so I can't see anything under a million being accepted. It'll be a Bristol city/ Middlesbrough type club that will have a punt if anyone does.

I can't see him leaving in this window.
Here we go again!

No, I can't see him leaving at this stage either. He will understand that Cook has rescued his career, but he isn't at his full potential as yet, and he'll know that. Get it right and he has the potential to play at the highest level, but get it wrong and it's goodbye big club and big money.

Needs to develop a lot to get to 1 million, which he still has the potential to do. A 15 goal season would be a great start .

Dobra absolutely has the potential to be our record sale. I've been thinking this for a while. However, if he went any time soon, we wouldn't be getting anywhere near what some folk seem (understandably, I should add) to think he's worth. He's getting better all the time. If he stays and keeps improving? Happy days.
