I agree with your interpretation except for Boot - unless he was playing outfield

?Full Available Strength? means the EFL Club must include at least four Qualifying Players in the ten outfield Players named in the starting eleven on the Team Sheet.

Counting on loan players from a Cat 1 academy in the ?Full Available Strength? definition is an odd condition as the whole point of the inclusion of PFL U21 is to give their academy players experience against hardened EFL pros

On the basis of that I shall re-submit my team sheet

Boot
Jessop Williams Grimes Araujo
Akinola Jones
Hobson Drummond Horton
Quigley

Not sure where Mohiuddin plays otherwise I might include him in the starting line-up. Cook's son will obviously get on as a second half sub and of course if Cook believes others could benefit from a run out I wouldn't object

Based on Paul Cook?s statement about people needing game time and the need to field at least four outfield players that featured in the previous game.

Boot
Campbell Williams Grimes Horton
Akinola Jones
Markanday Banks Berry
Drummond

Would not be surprised if he subbed Banks and Berry at HT and brought on Hobson and one of the academy lads and the other two Crewe starters soon after

Can?t remember the teams but remember one making 5 subs straight after KO so not to get fined for playing a weakened team , way round the rules .

I am not fully sure why this competition is so downgraded by so many.

A lot of clubs at our level do not have a reserve team competing on a regular basis. So, with this competition fringe players get the opportunity to play in games that matter. The more games they win the more games they play and the more experience they gain.

The management get the opportunity to assess the fringe players and keep them involved whilst being able to cast their eye over young prospects from much higher league clubs who they may become interested in signing at some point in the future.
I
As fans, we can form our own opinions on our fringe players whilst assessing the development of a few kids that we would not normally see at relatively cheap admission prices.

You're right, misread the 'outfield' bit.

It was always a duff competition but useful for the reason you gave and at the end of the day a competition that set peer against peer. Since the inclusion of the U21 teams the reasons why it was downgraded (ridiculed) are too numerous to list

It was originally designed as a completion to ensure a third or forth division team got a day put at Wembley as much as anything.
If it happens two be two u21s at Wembley in the final it makes it even less worthwhile?
Each to their own but its been devalued beyond repair.

It's not happened yet and not likely to either, not even sure that an U21 side has got to the knockout stages yet, when it gets to the sharp end of the tournament the league sides usually put out their strongest sides instead of the bare minimum.

The U21 sides have been qualifying for the knockout stage in recent years. I think Brighton got to the QFs last year but as you are saying the EFL clubs start taking it serious by then. Wonder what would happen if two U21 sides did get to the final - would there be 90,000 there?

I seem to think Chelsea U21s made it to a regional final against Lincoln, but the Imps made it through to the final.

It was the non-regionalised semi-final and the only time one of the U21 sides got past the regionalised quarter final stage.

Put the youth team out

We can't. 4 of the 15 outfield players that played at Crewe have to feature.

What's wrong with starting the young [Aussie]goalie, the 7 subs from Saturday with Jamie, Branden and Kane?

Doesn't look like more than a few hundred tickets have been sold. Hopefully an attendance sub-1000.

Google live football on tv. There is a site that lists every game for several weeks ahead, plus the channel it is being shown on.
