Discounting the goalkeeper, current injuries and the under 21s I make that 19.

With PC threatening more signings in is Crewe post match interview (one will obviously be a keeper) and suggestions that some will have to go out on loan it will be interesting to see which of the injured permanent players he was talking about.

Assuming no more long term injuries I suppose Palmer and Sheckleford are still favourites.

I hope I have been misled but I was told Mandy and Frecks will not feature this side Xmas.
If so, there's no point in registering them bringing squad down to 22 as it stands.

Cook said Mandy would be back soon although that may have been a slip of tongue. Sheckleford kind of sounds long term

Cook mentioned quite a few names including Mandeville, Sheckleford, Palmer & Williams but I do not think he mentioned Horton. There seemed to be a hint that Mandeville might not be out as long as first thought.

So, depending if the next outfield player to be brought in is under or over 21 two or three players will not be named in the squad. If Sheckleford decides to have an operation I would suggest he will be left out of the selected 22. Horton has hardly featured even though I believe he is fit so I would not be surprised to see him out on loan early doors. Then depending on how far away Palmer is could determine whether it is him or Williams omitted from the squad if we need to leave 3 out.

Could be an interesting couple of weeks.

Looking at that list you wouldn?t be really disappointed to see anyone of those in the starting 11.
That squad at L2 level is insane.

He also said Mandy would be out for "Quite some time". Although he did say that after the Derby game. Wonder if, as you say, he misspoke or the injury is not as bad as first thought.

You would imagine, the fact we've brought in two RB's backs up that Shecks is long term

It could be a very very good season

Though on the other hand, Crewe could be in for a very bad season and we are just one of many that turn them over this season

It'll be fun finding out!
