Mandeville injured, Colclough being nursed (again) and Naylor (a bit worrying the way he went down)

Every 50/50 seemed to go their way - nothing major but gave us nothing, Quigley only had to breathe on their centre half for a free kick to be given against him!
No massive decisions but definitely a ?homer? for me

We were completely toothless
Don?t agree with that. If that Hobson shot went in, and Quigley?s chance go in we win 3-2. Boot didn?t have anything at all to do most of the match. To say they are two leagues above us it certainly didn?t show in quality.

Think we lost against a poor team. No shame but no real credit

Worrying the trend for this season is that injuries tend to be more serious than first thought so we should wait and see.
However he seemed really confident we'll have a couple reinforcements in by Crewe

Hobson did ok
New right back was a bit too negative imo, not sure on Daley either tonight, no worries though
Berry had a stinker, looks heavy imo as though he has bulked up, but looks slower, he has zero idea off the ball and out of possession can?t defend, reluctant to take players on snd got released in second half only to square the ball , cut in and let one rip be aggressive in the attack
oldaker is an interesting player , he is brimming with confidence and looks absolute class, his close control is superb he rolls players for fun , can he keep it up and build on a brilliant if not surprising start

Is your brain painted on?
Not much kick and rush from either side.
Talking to my Derby mate on the way back, he described them as ‘pretty in possession but no goal threat’, and said that we had looked no better than some of the poorer League One sides they encountered last season, though he is worried that Derby are not up to Championship level themselves. He’s always objective enough.
I thought that, against a side good enough not to let us control possession, our usual game plan had to be replaced with a more counter-attacking approach, which Quigley is not suited for as he is not mobile enough. We played okay tonight but could not play our usual attacking, controlling game as the opposition were a level above.
I still reckon we will be right up there in the League Two reckoning.

Last year we went by without any real injuries. This year we seem to be picking up a few.
Berry was really poor. Hobson was ok but surely he?ll be on his way out?
Drummond is electric quick. It will be interesting to see if he can play a bit too having not really had much of a chance to see in his appearances so far.

Agree with most of that. Strange that Berry is far better as a sub, than a starter.
Oldaker a revelation in these first two games, You can see why Cook has kept him on for the full length of each game to date.
