It does happen, where the money is, in the PL.
The PGMOL has suspended a number of officials after errors in PL matches.

Rarely seems to happen lower down.

Here?s the thing - every decision made by the officials are analysed by their governing body - they are scored, monitored and are subject to stringent fitness and mental testing.
Not to mention being judged weekly by drunken idiots in the stands who have never done a course in their life and can barely write their own name.

What other job has such scrutiny?
They aren?t perfect - who is?
If only players and managers were subject to each decision analysed?
