How do you both see their goal seeing as you say they weren?t going to threaten down the middle.

Jacobs should have taken him out.

I notice one or two of your previous ?victims? arnt currently playing mate, including Tyrer, has that placed Jacobs as PE No1?

Heyup Mark I see Jacobs as a bit of luxury player. The problem is we cannot afford luxuries or carry people. Mandeville should be starting in his position.

In his position he should be scoring 10 goals I don't see it.

I agree, Jacobs is a decent player and sometimes goes under the radar. His movement is subtle and clever, and his understanding with Will Grigg is obvious. I wouldn't want to pick the team especially the three attacking midfielders, with Colclough,Berry, Dobra, Mandeville and Jacobs amongst others, I'm not sure we can say who's our best three are, but it's a nice position to be in I suppose.

Oldaker shouldn?t have over committed himself. Was made to look silly by a good CH.

Agree - he should have just held his position so the CH wouldn't have been able to go forward. Also, if you pause the highlights, you'll see that Colclough was near enough (with his pace), to get to him and challenge, but he didn't, presumably because he thought we had it covered. We should in fact have had no problem because Dunkley was still in front of their man, centrally placed with no opponent to mark, and he only needed to step towards him to block the run. For some reason Dunkley just backed off and let him shoot. That's the only thing in the whole game I can fault Dunkley for, as he was otherwise excellent. I can only put the error down to a lack of cohesion in our back four as they've hardly played together in a real match yet. I'm sure that will come because they're all very good players, and it's just sod's law that their misunderstanding was punished by a stunning finish.

Which is why OB and DO can?t play together long term consistently. LCB priority to release Naylor further forward. It was interesting that giant of a forward pulled onto Naylor a lot to win headers and be interesting if other teams do this too.

Their goal is obviously annoying to concede, and you can go back and pick apart who did what wrong in the buildup to it, but all I'll say is that you *want* a L2 CB having a speculative shot from 25 yards out against you because 99/100 it's going into the car park

I thought oldaker slipped which didn?t help his cause and made it a lot easier for the player to get past him.

Exactly. He?ll probably never score a goal like that again in his career. Dunkley is playing the odds gambling on a 95% chance of success in our favour and unfortunately the ball has landed on black on a roulette wheel consisting primarily of red.

I thought that throughout the match, the ball was flying much faster and further than usual (lots of overhit passes), not sure whether it was the latest ball, the hard surface or the wind. Wright hardly had any backlift, it wasnt far off a toe poke, and as we saw, it absolutely flew into the net.

If we're going to concede a goal to surrender a lead, which of course we will regularly, I'd much rather it be something like that. I can live with it.

Yeah absolutely - the goal was superb, the lack of backlift helped with that. I don't expect we'll see many more like it against us from defenders this season.

I?d like the stats on assists when either have scored.

With hindsight we should have absolutely cleaned up first half. We didn't and then we were always susceptible to a wonder strike.

We didn't hold the ball second half. I imagine that was cooks biggest concern from the game. Lots of positives though.

We did but there set up of 3 giant centre backs and both full backs squeezing the width down just gave us no space to run in too but Cookie will sort for future set ups
