The issue for me here is that the previous system wasn't fit for purpose. We all know that. The new one does the job up to a point. Music can be played loud on good systems but the new one isn't a good system and the sound distorts when it's turned up to 11. All they need to do is find that OK level and ignore the urge to go that extra bit.

Much better system, that's obvious, but way too loud. No-one round us could hear each other and to be honest was bordering on painful. It needs turning down!

First time hearing it. Made having a conversation with the guy sitting next to me really difficult. When the music was playing it was bordering on the painful. Don't know what the decibals are but they must be close to causing some harm. Health & Safety risk? The club need to take the high volume seriously and turn it down a notch or two.

Most outdoor venues have sound systems that are between 90-100 dB, with 107 being around the upper limit. Everyday conversations are around 60dB and lawnmowers are about 90dB.

I've done Health and safety training and the actual safety level is around 70dB and anything above 85dB is deemed dangerous. The amount on here saying it is too loud surely is saying it needs turning down a notch , no reason for it to be as loud as it is.

It's not just about how loud something is. Its also down to the length of exposure too. High frequency sounds even though they are usually quite low decibels can also damage hearing depending again on length of exposure

Anyone else notice a big improvement in the volume today. I could speak to the guy next to me without shouting and even better could hear his reply.

Completely new scoreboard, as per Ash Kirk interview. That is the delay. There wouldn't be a delay if all you was doing is flashing a software update.

When first mooted under the previous regime the reason it wasn?t followed through with was because it was too high, no idea if it was ever a genuine thought, then a few weeks ago someone said it blocks access onto the pitch in an emergency but it was then pointed out it was used for the Pompey Cup game and there?s exit gates in it if needed. So if it?s a genuine possibility in the future then I?m sure there wouldn?t be an issue.
