Great performance tonight & deserved to win?shout out to Tanton, he is a class player..he will be quite the player to watch this season?

Dunkley is a colossus in defence & he will make a huge difference this season as well.

Great atmosphere, great performance & we will have a great season

It was promising, I thought the atmosphere was a bit flat though

7.5/10 first half.
5.50/10 second half.

Lots of work to do.

Atmosphere mediocre.

Said last season,S5 is always out of synch with S3 on all singing, I sit in S4 and start with S3 and end with S5 which leads to a lot of people just falling silent.Someone needs to have a word with the ring leaders in S5 if they know them.

At one point today S1 S3 and S5 where singing three different songs that is why the atmosphere goes flat

Fully agree. I thought atmosphere was poor tbh considering first match back in EFL.

Can you imagine over 9000 at Saltergate , kicking towards the kop second half. Whole of the ground singing "Come on you blues" every corner kick. The atmosphere would have been electric.

I?m in the corner in S5 and thought it was flat second half across the board.
Agree it sounds out of sync a lot, can hear it sometimes, not sure how you fix that

Ideally you?d want the club onboard and love the standing crew from S5, S3 and W7 and encourage them to all get together somewhere but feel like that?s a million miles away

We?re probably going to be a minority that doesn?t have safe standing fairly soon as well, which would definitely help get people together

Isn't it a case the ones in the centre want to start the singing. Quite often one of the end section starts and the centre starts their own with the aid of the drum

Hardly hear the drum in W7 as it is so usually a completely different song is started over the faint sound of the drum from our corner of W7

Could hear W7 a couple of times yesterday when S5 went quiet.
Much better having fans are both ends of the ground trying to create some noise

I think the criticism of the atmosphere is a bit overdone. The way the game went did dampen it down a bit, with us dominating the first half then them coming out more strongly after half time, end equalising. That was bound to put a bit of a damper on things. Of course it would have been totally different if Berry's free kick had gone into the top corner. Speaking of the acoustics generally, I dont think sound carries well from one stand to another; there have been many occasions when, as a kop resident, it's sounded fine to me, then posters in other parts of the ground have come on here saying they couldn't hear much.

W7 quite lively and loud.

Mate, it's a different time, we used to be a gobby set who could make some noise, but it's no good asking us old gits because after a lifetime of smoking Park Drive, lungs full of coal dust and using asbestos as though it was safe as rice paper, we are a bit subdued on the old lung busting chants, even the Colclough chant from me comes out as Ryan Colclough cough, cough, cough.

W7 was the best I've heard it for a good while. I almost lost my voice last night. We were signing totally different songs to the kop at times. I know that Yogi has a new drum, but it did sound quite muted to the old one.

Only time I knew the drum was there, was when they brought him on the pitch at half time, I'm sure the old un was louder
