I thought it would sell out with it being our first game back int he league. Lots of availability in North stand still. Slightly disappointing i'd say unless there's a late rush.

Swindon sold 800 odd so should still creep over 9k

I think it's poor that we haven't sold out yet, but suppose that expectation is a sign of how far we've come

Yeah i'm definitely not complaining about a 9k home gate but thought we'd have got closer than we have done based on current ticket sales.

Mentioned it on the Crewe thread but think holidays will play a part. Lots of folk will be away, i've got a season ticket so mine will be showing as sold but i'll miss the game as we head off to France the day before.

I think some are ignoring the effect of bringing the game forward from Saturday to Friday evening. There are probably a lot of folks, particularly those with youngsters, who arranged holidays while the kids are off school, and planned well ahead to be back for the Saturday. With the North stand usually housing a lot of youngsters, I wouldn't be surprised at all if there are quite a few empty seats there. In the circumstances, 9000 or close to that would be a good turnout.

I do wonder whether the Friday night factor has put a few off. I was planning on travelling up but with it being Friday night now I am unable to get due to work commitments. Suspect there will be others in the same boat. I reckon it'll be around 9200-9400 - tremendous really.

It's understandable, that people like yourself won't be able to get, and then add those on shifts, plus any travelling with young kids, and the numbers will soon drop.

Derby Tup de loused and re opening run by the girls from the Red lion , give them some trade

Happy to report that the Tup opened again yesterday and the new team have done an amazing job in there, the place is as clean as I've seen it in my 25 years of using the pub. It smells fresh and they even have fresh flowers on the tables!!. Three cask ales were on offer and all were in excellent condition. Its, hopefully,, a great comeback for the pub and will enhance any match day experience on Whitt Moor. Give it a try,,the girls deserve the support.

Sorry mate I just can?t accept it. Been causing me lack of sleep. Even if we thump Swindon 5-0 I can?t imagine getting out of this slump.

Mate sleepless night not required. Key thing is the fans that do turn up make a good show of it!
I personally like the Friday night kick offs. Gives people a chance to have a pint after work knowing that most people won?t be at work the next day

Yeah i'm a big fan of a Friday night too. Better atmosphere generally + frees up my weekend, which when you've got 2 youngsters always helps earn a few brownie points :D

Nah, would be terrible

It's testament to how far we have come when a crowd of under 8k is 'disappointing'.

I think the more level headed among us see it as not as much a disaster as some.
