The mixed triathlon was absolutely brilliant! What a finish!

90mins of racing comes down to three being separated by next to nothing on the line.

Great run by Keeley, looked quite comfortable or as comfortable as you can be winning Olympic gold.

Duplantis is ridiculous?.heights he is jumping are silly.

JI fell into the trap of trying to beat a specific opponent rather than run his own race. Like you say it?s hard to envisage Kerr having done anymore.
Beat by the better man on the day, and although he?ll be devastated to not win gold I doubt he?d hold much of a grudge against the man who pipped him for gold.

Another incredible finish to a race and another US athlete pipping the Brit in the last 5 meters. Gutted for Matt Hudson-Smith. European record, 5th fastest of all time but still only good enough for 2nd.

Got to say looking at medals - after 29, 27 and 22 golds in the last 3 Olympics, was expecting more golds from a games in Paris. Average is about the best I can come up with. Maybe lottery money is taken for granted by some albeit we continue to do well in ?posh? sports?

I think the cycling has been a bit off a let down re Golds, Laura Kenny forecast 6-8 golds, although the men?s Maddison was carnage at times, not sure how there isn?t more smashes.

Fine margins. We?re only 6 total medals down on Tokyo. Josh Kerr, Matt Hudson-Smith, Adam Peaty and KJT fractions away from golds off the top of my head. A few disappointments here and there but overall it?s been a great 2 weeks for GB.

I think tonight has shown why it?s too simplistic to just look at medal totals to judge success. Georgia Bell, British record and 11th fastest 1500 ever, but only good enough for bronze. Woman?s 4 x 400, British record but only good enough for bronze. Men?s 4 x 400, British and European record but only good enough for bronze. They all well exceeded expectations and did magnificently but sometimes there are just people who are faster, stronger and better at horse dancing.

That is the American viewpoint - all medals are treated equally. Their medal table is based upon who wins the most medals whereas ROW base it on golds. For each of the above are many under performances. Overall I reckon they will do better in LA but without detracting from the spectacle, we?ve done Ok.

I?m not sure what you?re implying or trying to say? Carini herself admitted she got the whole thing wrong. She lost a fight to an Algerian woman. It?s really that simple.

It really isn't. And what I'm trying to say, for anyone hard of understanding, is that Imane Khelif is male. Sharron Davies, Martina Navratilova, Serene Williams, Daley Thompson, Matt Pinsent, Barry McGuigan. You'll take the word of a cheating Algerian man, his corrupt, money grabbing coaches and an even more corrupt IOC chairman (now resigned) over some of the world's sporting greats? Well, I know who I believe.

If Angela Carini admitted she got it wrong, I suspect she did so under duress.

This isn't going away. I'll celebrate the day that Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting have their medals taken away.

Fair play for women xx

Why would those sporting greats have any idea as to whether Khalif is man or woman? I don?t understand.

Yeah, you do. You weren't daft last time I checked.

Khelif has robbed an Algerian woman (that's us females) of an Olympic place. He's an IOC sponsored cheat.

Stop playing the #Be Kind and stand up for women xx

Maybe she should. She still shouldn't be in the ring with a male boxer. And yep, you all know he's male!
