Absolutely and bear in mind that one of the girls ran the place prior to the previous 2 regimes who totally f...ked it up and has a a good knowledge re-cellar management.

The biggest worry being can they attract the right clientele on none match days!!

Here's hoping!!

The place felt and smelt unclean the last few times I've been in which gave no confidence in the way they kept their beer.

Their fans and local journo at odds as to King?s game to date:
Don Rogers Stand Fan says

Poor 1st half Only trailist A (Jeff King) looked decent Also no organisation on the bench either Smith was down for a couple of minutes with the ref signalling for the physio But it looks like we don't have one And the subs had to take a match ball to warm up Polar opposite to Wycombe
Journo

Everyone seems to be saying this about Trialist A, I thought he looked quite poor. Caught out of position a few times and has offered little with the ball.

If he signs, i hope he's rubbish when they play us. I liked Jeff King, but just seemed to lose his way last season and make Sheckleford look a nailed on starter.

The chatter at their end is that Khan has hardly featured, is being frozen out and ?must be on his way?

With the usual kettling of the East Stand and the exclusion zone I?ll go for 9111
East stand second class citizen.

I?m guessing this is looking like being the highest opening day attendance at the new ground and probably the highest home attendance for the opening home game since the 1950,s unless it was Villa at home in 1971/72

Good call chaps. Although we lost that one, we won the next league home game v Reading 4-0 at a cantor. Red hot sunny day, we were back where we belonged. Finished 5th- obviously well before play offs. Good times after some terrible wilderness years.

1971-72 against Notts County 12276

i remember 2 of the goals against Reading were virtually identical

Kevin Randall crossing for Ernie Moss to head the ball over the reading keeper into the centre of the goal

as you say a sunny red hot day as was the match against Villa when the Kop was lets say rather crowded lol

I thought it would sell out with it being our first game back int he league. Lots of availability in North stand still. Slightly disappointing i'd say unless there's a late rush.

Swindon sold 800 odd so should still creep over 9k
