While I respect Jamie Grimes, after tonight the playing captain has to be the superb Tom Naylor , one of the best cfc signings in many a year, tough talented and a winner, I?d make him team captain and let Jamie concentrate solely on his game with no distractions he can lead by example off the pitch as club captain
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

If anyone takes over from Grimes it will be Dunkley

Dunkley is a class act, talks a lot, and comes across very well. Him and Naylor are the two standout captain material for me

I will be absolutely gobsmacked if Cooky gave the captaincy to anybody else. He is loyal to his players and Grimes will keep it I'm sure.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

It's a myth. No captain, and especially one so intelligent as Jamie, would ever try to suppress or feel undermined by whatever Naylor or Dunkley has to say.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

We have voices all over the pitch, and that's how it should be. I've never been one to think that the captain has a monopoly on using his voice. Instructions from the manager should be related to the captain, either directly or through a sub etc but a voice can be anything from a warning to a praise. It shows passion anyway. One of the best captains who has ever graced a football pitch wasn't a shouter and that was Bobby Moore, so Grimes is in good company in that regard.
