This. My Dad moved to Wrexham this year and he loves it. Their owners seem to have really bought in to the community and helped regenerate more than just the football club. Yes they have some idiot fans but we?re not short on those ourselves. Regardless of who owns them it?s some ride they are on and one which no other clubs fan base would turn down if offered.

You appear to have missed my offer of a wager on this and I?d hate you to miss out on winning big?
Don?t give me all the bull about you don?t like backing against town etc
If you don?t believe what you put stop putting it.
I?m prepared to pay up front to one of the moderators who can hold whatever stake you suggest and then they can give it me all at the end of the season.
Are we on and how much?

I offered him top 10 for me; bottom 14 for him. Heard nothing. Last seen in Walton searching for his bottle.

Not falling for that one Ernie.

Perhaps he could split his response over 8 newly created threads?
Let's just wait and see how the season unfolds. An opening day defeat will certainly see an bombardment of threads though. I have been banned 3 times on this board but always welcomed back with open arms.

We took 16 years because we spent the majority of those years fan owned. Fan ownership isn't a good model, that's why so few clubs are and why even fewer who are have any success. There's obviously more to it but that's the short version.
I agree without our owners we'd still be kicking round 8th in the national league. But also I don't get that thats used as some sort of negative or dig. Every struggling club needs new owners and investment to succeed. AND WHAT? Like thats a bad thing. Weird take.
Re Wales. We didn't qualify - mainly because we lost Bale who we were hugely reliant on and because we had Rob Page as manager who is terrible. And generally we're a shit football team who now and again punches. Difference is we never ever expect anything, with good reason, we know what we are.
You won't finish anywhere near the relegation zone. I reckon play offs. Notts County are in big trouble I think. They've just lost 30 goals in Langstaff and they won't/can't sign a striker thats going to fill that void. They've signed a whole new defence too. You'll finish above them. The big hitters unfortunately will be MK Dons. Doncaster should be up there too and Port Vale look like they've made some signings of significance.
None of which explains your weird-assed obsession with our club, though.
In fact you've confirmed your whole presence is a schoolyard standard 'Ha-ha, mine's a modest little outfit who'd still be non league - planets aligning or not - but for Hollywood millions so I'm gonna large it up on other forums'.
And your honest assessment of both Wrexham and Wales proves you're better than that - so why make a turd out yourself and, by association, your sides by doing so?
Any fair minded observer will realise our expectations are reasonable. Based on the decades we've spent at this level, winning it more than any other team, and managerial quality. Though unless you can prove me wrong no serious contributor has insisted we'll get promoted. Optimistic yeah; arrogant nah.
Same applies to England for the most part.
So good luck to Wrexham. Okay, the media obsession with them became laughable but, as most others have said, a very similar community and football club to our own. No hostility towards Wales, either. Plucky underdogs many English folk will happily applaud.
As your boys will probably become should they rise any further up divisions where multi-millions means mere survival...

Like many old mining areas throughout the UK, Wrexham was allowed to go to ruin, so any regeneration, from wherever it comes from should commended.
