New Centre half to replace our captain Strange maybe...a goalie from Everton...
Tuesday mentioned for confirmation.
But then again all well founded gossip
.
I?ve heard at least 2 will join Southend, possibly on loan, then permanent. Hobson was one and maybe Palmer?

Since then we?ve been awful in the main, recruitment and retention has been very questionable
If with 10 games to go we are safe from the drop and have a sniff at top7 then that would be ok

However he spends his summer trolling our forum.
We can only wonder what damage Town must've inflicted on this is sad little character at some past point...
I'd wager he was stood on the Cross Street End terrace on Sunday the 9th of March 1997 and still can't bring himself to get over it even after 27 years Chris.

Can?t grumble with that. Main worry is that next season is really poor and we finish 18-19th and crowds start to dwindle.

Why stop there, why not worry about an immediate return to the NL. Go the whole hog.

Looking at the last season?s League Two table with 10 games to go, teams safe from relegation had lost about 15 games of their 36 played.
Wonder how many on this message board (hands up if its you) will be happy to see such an unfolding of the season.

Do think Tyrer will be back at the start until he gets recalled by Everton.
However, Boot is still my number 1 for the up coming season.
Let?s not panic on the pre season results.
We?ll be ok , no regulation worries, just may not finish in the promotion hunt this season

If Tyrer is back then it?ll be a season long loan with no recall.

If Tyrer does come in he couldn?t go back until January at the earliest.

If getting promoted from non league is as easy as this character claims, why did it take his club sixteen years to do it?
Y'know, whilst we're twice champions of this "big boys league"...
PS: I quite supported plucky little underdogs Wales when they had their moment of glory a couple of tournaments ago ..
Its an easy puzzle to solve and I'm happy to help you out. 99% of the time its a really tough league to get out of. But every now and again the planets align and there's a significant drop in quality which allows the best backed and prepared club to romp it. Its my opinion that happened last season. But you still had a blinder of a season and had it won with ease with weeks to spare which is to be commended. I'd much rather do it as you did than like we did.
We took 16 years because we spent the majority of those years fan owned. Fan ownership isn't a good model, that's why so few clubs are and why even fewer who are have any success. There's obviously more to it but that's the short version.
I agree without our owners we'd still be kicking round 8th in the national league. But also I don't get that thats used as some sort of negative or dig. Every struggling club needs new owners and investment to succeed. AND WHAT? Like thats a bad thing. Weird take.
Re Wales. We didn't qualify - mainly because we lost Bale who we were hugely reliant on and because we had Rob Page as manager who is terrible. And generally we're a shit football team who now and again punches. Difference is we never ever expect anything, with good reason, we know what we are.
You won't finish anywhere near the relegation zone. I reckon play offs. Notts County are in big trouble I think. They've just lost 30 goals in Langstaff and they won't/can't sign a striker thats going to fill that void. They've signed a whole new defence too. You'll finish above them. The big hitters unfortunately will be MK Dons. Doncaster should be up there too and Port Vale look like they've made some signings of significance.
