Realistic Aims For Next Season?

Grigg won't be what he was last season against pathetic cannon fodder which was most of that league and if you're being brutally honest you need a younger quicker upgrade. Pace, you need pace. You lack this in key areas.
Last time Grigg was in a EFL team he scored 5 goals in a season. That's why you've signed Madden, although age isn't on either of those two side. When we played Stockport last game of the season Madden came on and went straight into a 21 year old's (Max Cleworth) pocket. He isn't what he was.
Have you still got that non scoring Carthorse Quigley? Thats a serious drop off in quality.
I reckon you can make the play offs, but automatics looks a stretch too far right now. Would any of your team get into Mansfield, Wrexham or Stockports teams of last season. The answer is maybe 1 or 2.
Don't let a p!ss easy cake walk season in NL lull you into thinking your top three league two material. I know that triggers Chesterfield but its just the facts, you went unchallenged last season.
We finished miles ahead of you and still had to add the likes of Sir James McClean, Fletcher, Okonkwo and George Evans to ensure we were competing at the top. You don't have that quality, squad depth and experience.
I'll be back in November to give you another education and assesment on L2. Welcome to a big boys league.
Oh and P.S. I though football was coming home?

You're fishing but I don't disagree with much of that post
I think you should read some of the threads on here, half our fan base think we will be getting relegated, it's certainly not full of people thinking we will make the play offs.
on paper we are probably a midtable side at the moment, lack any sort of pace or strength in the spine of the team - we need a CB alongisde Dunkley, and we need a CDM alongside Naylor in my opinion. Sounds like we will get Tyrer back from Everton in goal which will be a plus

If getting promoted from non league is as easy as this character claims, why did it take his club sixteen years to do it?
Y'know, whilst we're twice champions of this "big boys league"...
PS: I quite supported plucky little underdogs Wales when they had their moment of glory a couple of tournaments ago ..

I?d like to see more younger players bought in and an emphasis on raising our own players such as Clucas and Cooper to bring in big fees.
Not knocking Cook or the club for one moment, getting out the National League was a monumental effort, but we are in for a massive shock if we think we will walk this league with the squad we have. We won?t.

Neither Cooper or Clucas were brought through the ranks here.....Clucas was signed for a fee from Mansfield and Cooper was signed on a free i think but with a big sell on from Hull i think it was following a good loan spell. The last ones we brought through and sold were probably the likes of Bowery and Darikwa but even they were with the club from a young age, they both signed for us early teens i think.

Including a spectacular fail in 21/22, even after ?2M Hollywood investment, including the ?300k purchase of Ollie Palmer and the no doubt very expensive, in terms of wages, Paul Mullins.

Why does 3 preseason friendly results solidify your claim that it would take 3 years to get up?

After decades of varying degrees of obscurity his modest outfit have not only been flung into the public eye, but have enjoyed back-to-back promotion thanks to Hollywood vanity.
However he spends his summer trolling our forum.
We can only wonder what damage Town must've inflicted on this is sad little character at some past point...

Well for it to be a big departure it?d have to be Grimes, which I can?t see happening at all. You wouldn?t class either of Williams or Palmer as big departures and it?s obviously not Dunkley.
