If Dunkley can get em in some sort of order I?d say 6th, 7th or 8th. Otherwise we?ll be mid at best.

Concerned about the defence and the midfield, especially if any of the better players get injured.
I can see a lot of sides sitting back and looking for a point when they visit Sheffield Road.

Depends on our defence!

How can you say that, same as all the pessimists, not one competitive game has been played yet. As always give it 10 games then we will have an inkling

I say top 10. You can have the other 14.
20 pounds to Ashgate from the loser?

The friendlies will be a yardstick (the fact that PC is prepared to experiment with Naylor in the defence in today?s game is encouraging for a start but is this a means to an end to move out certain players ?). On the other hand you would expect him to have decided who plays where once the season starts. A bit up in the air despite the signings imo. Was today?s starting line-up his preferred choice before we begin?
Unless I?m mistaken Wrexham despite the amount of money thrown around, didn?t add many players in the EFL and this might just be the difference between going straight up or waiting at least another year.
Spending doesn?t automatically guarantee promotion but I hope we?ll be celebrating again by May next year

I do love your posts.
Firstly, why should we expect top 3 with the investment made? If you?re following this division in any way then you?ll see at least 6 clubs have spent far more than we have - some crazy signings from the likes of Vale and MK Dons. We?ve signed just 5 (one of whom is Drummond who will be on peanuts as a diamond to polish).
Secondly, Wrexham signed 6 or 7 players upon their return to the league (more than we have thus far). Including the likes of Steven Fletcher, James McClean, George Evans, Will Boyle.. all far better than league 2 standard.
For me, lower play-offs are the target/expectation in our first year back. Consolidation wouldn?t be a failure in any way shape or form - but of course with the ambition of promotion being a bonus.

He likes to set things up so he has plenty to whinge about throughout the season. So far he?s got bloated backroom staff and apparently we?re top 3 investment-wise. Wonder what?s next

Come on Tim - you agreed with my top 6 prediction this morning. I see no reason to change that. My Forest mate thought that 3 flattered them - I didn't, but the combined value of their squad has to be a few hundred million - what did you expect ?
My prediction after 90 minutes - we will be comfortable in League 2 and Forest will be bottom 6.

?and Wrexham released about 16, I think?.we?re at about 4|5 at most. Not targeting you in particular but the usual suspects are looking to criticise me without any foundation. And I stand by my comments about the top-heavy coaching staff. Smells of overkill in all departments. The pressure to deliver is there whatever you think
