Another thought... Remember the home game v Malta (probably not but unfortunately I was there) that was 'absolute bilge' as you succinctly put it as well. Considering town (is that correct) would have given Malta a stern test that day, why were we 'absolute bilge'? Was it a fact we were 'absolute bilge'? or were we experimenting? or maybe perfecting tactics for later use? Who knows apart from the squad.

First 5 games

Shite boring tactics - defensively minded set up
Poor formations
Poor substitutions and the lack of ability to change tactics
Late substitutions

Two moments of magic that kept us in the tournament.

Semi-final

A good change of formation and more positive approach and forward thinking
Second half reverted to more defensive stuff ( not sure what he says to them at half-time)

Good positive substitutions that critics, pundits, and fans have been wanting for from the start of the tournament.


Overall, poor for first five games, a great half and a few great goals from individual players.
