Has anyone know what will happen to these. I assume as nothing has been communicated the video highlights, interviews and features will remain on YouTube and audio streaming will continue on 1866.

Last season most EFL clubs used iFollow for these. plus audio and video streaming and you needed a subscription to access them. Obviously domestic video streaming will discontinued from this platform but I have noticed a lot of clubs have ditched iFollow altogether and moved to what appears to be their own platform. They seem to be called things like Exiles +, Pompey +, Imps + etc, and that only appears to be a portal with not subscription required.

I see on another thread people debating that CFC haven't mentioned using iFollow or in fact any mention of international streaming. None of the club sites I looked at mention international streaming either, whether they still use iFollow or another method.

From the EFL website:

Sky Sports+ the home of domestic EFL streaming
From 2024/25, a new rights agreement between the EFL and Sky Sports comes into effect, making Sky Sports the home of the EFL.

With over 1,000 EFL fixtures live on Sky Sports via Sky and NOW each season, iFollow/club streaming services will cease to offer domestic live video coverage of EFL matches and streamed games can be watched on the Sky Sports+ service.

The update comes as the EFL begins a five-year rights deal with Sky Sports and will see significantly enhanced exposure for all EFL clubs.

As part of the groundbreaking partnership with Sky Sports, fans will be able to access more action than ever before from across the EFL's three divisions, as well as every game of the Carabao Cup and Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

So I read that I will be able to watch any CFC match on a phone / tablet if I want to use a vpn and set my location outside the uk. The proviso being that I don?t know if Sky Sports + will be available on Sky Go and there is the ongoing issue that an hdmi adapter won?t work as a tv connector as Sky continues to block that bit of technology.
It does work with a MacBook but that is a bulky bit of kit to take on holiday, but it should work at home with a vpn once I know if sky sports + is available on a device other than a Sky box.

But thinking about what I have just posted, presumably an iFollow subscription with vpn will be the easiest way to watch a long distance midweek game if not on Sky?

Games on Sky\Sky+ are for the domestic market only....you can watch them in the UK with no issues then if you are abroad you will have to convince the app\website etc that you are in the UK for it to work. I've had to do this last few years in France since Sky stopped allowing access from abroad after Brexit for whatever reason. Not all our games are on Sky only ones that are selected for coverage or midweek\league cup games if i am getting it right.

All games can be streamed to overseas but as it stands nothing has been mentioned about if or how that will work. FOr that to work you would need to firstly be able to sign up and pay for an account (in the past it needed a foreign postal address and payment card) and then use a VPN to make it look like you are overseas.

I'm away in France for the first couple of games so will be trying to find a way to watch the first game....i normally take my Firestick that i set up myself with Kodi and some stream providers that worked fine last year but only when we got to the house we were renting with big TV and wifi. Our first game that is on i'll be in a hotel in Vichy as we drive down through france so itll be a case of relying on my iPad, VPN and the hotel Wifi!!

It?s a real frustration that there is a way to watch Sky anywhere in the world using Sky Go and a vpn. Sky must know this, but have found a way to block an hdmi adapter enabling a connection to a TV and there simply isn?t a way round this. I am sure technophobes are working on this, and one day Sky will agree that, as I have paid a large monthly subscription to watch Sky onTV, I will be able to do that wherever I may be.

You probably can get round the hdmi adapter thing if you jailbreak an iPhone/android equivalent but that likely brings other issues to be honest. I can see why sky do it to be honest, it?s a lot easier to stop than vpns etc. Plus you can watch sky wherever you want within the uk.

I use Sky Go on my xbox and its great for full screen programs, although if im honest I use the iptv on my Nividia Shield more.

Be interesting to see if the extra games not on the "normal" Sky Sports channels will be available on Sky Go.

Sorry to carry on like a broken record, but sat in a hotel room on the Algarve watching ITVX, streamed with a vpn on to the tv with hdmi adapter so I can watch England in comfort as if at home. Just the result to get right!!
Come on Sky - join the 21st century!

Thing with Sky is it?s to stop account sharing. For example you could get a login from a friend or family member and use sky go via hdmi to your tv and watch it without paying. They have financial motivation to do it unlike itv.

Nobody addressed the points I raised, so I'll try again and rephrase...

Are Chesterfield using iFollow
What about those clubs that have moved away from iFollow?
I see no mention of international streaming from clubs whether they are using iFollow or not
How do you watch international streaming if the club isn't providing it? That's a rhetorical quest

I know, that part of it has been done to death and doesn't address the points I was making.

Sky Go do this on purpose, it was always meant as a mobile add on rather than a replacement for Sky broadcast on your TV.

Buy a cheap second hand xbox and use that as a media player. This will allow you to use Sky Go via HDMI on your TV. You can even buy an xbox remote control so you dont need to use a gamepad controller.

One possible workaround is using bluestacks android emulator on your laptop and the sky sports app / sky go app installed on blue stacks. you could then share the screen output of bluestacks via HDMI, in theory Sky Go wouldnt know its being shared via HDMI.

I'll test if I get chance.

I don?t have Sky Sports and have no intention of getting it in order to watch the odd Town match as I have no interest in the Premier League or other teams. Just wish the daily pass for Now TV was a bit cheaper, the NLTV cost was bang on IMO.

For what it?s worth it?s not the odd game?.itll be all midweek games, weekend games that fall on international breaks, all efl Trophy games and any league cup games we play starting with the derby game.
