Colclough looked sharp and linked well with a hard working Jacob?s tbf

Dunkley looks to be a very good acquisition indeed. Towering centre back who does everything well. Got to admit, both Jacobs and Colclough, looked like they'd carried on from where they left off last season

Sorry about my ignorance, but was Jessop the lad who played on the right wing in the second half? If so, he was very good, and it was noticeable he came back as the last defender when both CBs went up for corners, presumably because nobody's likely to out-run him.
If that was a triallist and not Jessop, I'd get him signed up.
Bit of a non-event otherwise, though NL seems to have got Matlock well organised, and should do well if he can find some half-way respectable players.

Jessop played as though he belonged in the squad, and I'm hoping to see him against some higher opposition.

Thanks for that. I thought PCs aim was to give every player a bit of match time, and Matlock were well organised and defended really well. Good luck for your forthcoming season.

Excellent motivational speech, especially for the youngsters, who need a pat on the back and encouragement to build their confidence.
I sctually thought you were involved in grassroots coaching with youngsters until I read that.

No disrespect to Matlock, but he needs putting up against higher opposition
Nicky law will be a good boss for Matlock,he?s clearly set the team up to be hard to beat, just not sure where the goals are going to come from
Best of luck to the gladiators next season
