No point getting angry about it, Cook giving players a chance to prove themselves & unfortunately they've let themselves down…let's not forget he's shaping this squad already in preparation for next season…even those under contract could find themselves moved on
I don’t think the Kirks will be very happy not only with the standards of lots of players latterly but especially the management team too. The cheque-book needs to be renewed quickly before the start of next season that’s for certain. They’ve invested a lot of money in this club to make progress in a professional way, not urine it up against the wall like amateurs.
Let’s face it we’re in L2 thanks to them. Lots on this thread need to understand that without this investment we’d be another NL side next season

Ffs we've won the league, yea we conceded early, so what get behind the team, and create a party atmosphere... today was like we needed 3 points to avoid relegation..
Agreed.
Their fans were a credit to them and totally outsang us. Easier I guess when you’re hammering the opposition!
However, the fans still put more effort in than the players.
At least they turned up - and had to pay for the privilege.

Yeah, nothing to do with the players and management
You’re a clown
Credit for promotion is shared between players, staff and the board
As well as supporters for continuing to turn up in numbers

Dobra should have tried whipping himself up instead of the crowd because he did nothing again apart from moaning and falling over a lot.

Don’t forget we’ve picked up a lot of paying fans this season who have only seen success, maybe we need more defeats including next season to wake a few up, ,a few years ago we were cheering a corner we were that desperate.😀

Correct, we’ve had to do without some important players throughout the season but never really had a long injury list
Been a massive help, although some still reckon Grigg isn’t very good - tap in merchant 🤣

Take out Grigg and Colclough and we’ve dropped 10-15 points and we’re just ahead of Barnet going into the last few games. Both are key players for us.
I was disappointed Cook made no effort to bring in a loan striker once Grigg went off injured against Halifax.

Think I'll give this board a miss until normal service is resumed.

Why? You plonker. The title is already won. Why waste money? Save it for next season.

The impression I got today was of a side almost thrown together - back to the Pemberton /Sheridan days. In fact. it was worse than that in some respects. We lacked physicality - we were bullied by their players who were more tenacious and positive - particularly up top. It could and should have been 1-5
I would see this, in a detached, objective way, as a look at what's on offer from the fringe players for next season. And the answer to that is a resounding 'not a lot'. I would imagine those lads in the back four will go. I have serious doubts about Quigley who was being pulled around all afternoon. if you are on the receiving end, you have to look after yourself, so to speak, and he didn't - even compared with their No.9.]
It was a strange game but more than a plateful of food for thought. I would be very surprised if any of the out-of-contract players are offered new terms. Football is a cruel game and today highlighted the fact.

With respect to your « clown » comment let’s remember it’s not only about the present but you also need to have an eye on the future, otherwise we fall straight back into the abyss.
L2 is a completely different animal.
On current form you have to ask questions about our capacity to stay up both from a tactical and squad perspective.
And certainly the crowd numbers aren’t guaranteed next year when you assess our performances lately against very poor opposition. Hopefully the commercial side has done it’s job and secured lots of season-ticket holders on the crest of a wave.
I’d rather be constructively critical and ready to take the criticism any day of those only able to reply with abusive comments
Big changes are required
