He was our best player at Southend as well.

Grigg is pure class. We are fortunate to have him at CF.

Cant disagree,i thought grigg had a good game against southend ,out and out six yard striker lovely finish from a superb cross, went missing in a poor second half by us.

Bump. 11 goals in all comps and 10 in the league now for Grigg. 5 goals in his last 5 league games…

You can take one off that as he 'lost' the goal against Barnet that he never touched.

New thread that highlights will griggs touches in games,by my reckoning he is on about £400 a touch up tp yet this season

This anti Grigg thread ain’t aging particularly well is it? Maybe the club should compile a video of all his goals, touches, work rate and assists to aid upcoming coaches of the future?
Maybe Bonnyman could record the intro?

I have absolutely no problem with Griggs superb goals tally, mission acomplished,i could not care if some were own goals or grimes goals as long as we get out this stinking league, but anybody who thinks we dont need a younger bigger no1 striker must be straight jacket material,Griggs pace has gone,he will be an assett for the next two years doing what he did last night ,coming on as sub,we need a striker, who makes defenders back off a striker who can come deep and occasionaly turn and carry the ball like Lester did ( he would be on 50 in this league),we have our poacher,we need a proper focal point for next year,it will be much harder.

Another thing Bonnyman has made up just to have a pop at Grigg.

I don’t think Grigg has ever based his game on straight line pace. He’s quick when it counts - in the head and those first 5 yards that in the box are all that’s needed.

Yep we said the same last night that he just invariably ends up being in the right place not just to pick up pieces for goals in the 6 yard box but also further out to get the ball or make it difficult for defenders.

Well the centre half he outsprinted a couple of times last night must be really slow then.

He's no Noah Lyles but he's more than enough pace to give defenders problems as he has continually proved throughout the course of a title winning season in which he is top scorer. Great signing.

Did Jack, my favourite Town player in all my years, have pace ? If he did I must have missed it. Jack or Grigg ? Jack all day long for me , but Grigg has been superb, and may have been better than Jack at his peak at a higher level.
Grigg has the class to still be a real asset in League 2 .

22 goals for Grigg in Feb, 21 league, 1 in the cup. Not bad going! Agree we need another striker next season to offer something different, though. Quigley's obviously played an excellent role primarily off the bench this year, but I have doubts over his effectiveness in League 2.
