Hodgson out at Palace, replaced by Oliver Glasner

Who? Looks like 'Woy' is getting a stay of execution as taken ill at training before the press conference.

Sacked by Schalke in Germany after taking them to 5th place.....Schalke are now battling against relegation from the second division into regional football and if they went down they wouldnt get a licence to play next season due to the debt they have!

For a manager thats had more jobs than i’ve had hot dinners and never seems to last long a 5 year contract is crazy. What on earth have they been smoking there

Kieran Maguire on the Price of Football podcast mentioned that some managers in the lower divisions work for buttons. I wonder if Moore is willing to do that in order to try and rebuild his career? I wonder if Darrell Clarke at Cheltenham is one of the managers working for low wages.
These go to eleven.

Never heard of him either, another continental raked from obscurity, lets see how he fairs in league 1

If such club are paying a pittance you would not expect them to be given a five year contract

Obscure because you’ve not heard of him? He’s managed four or five teams in the top division in Germany having previously getting Paderborn promoted into the top division in Germany for the first time. His first managerial job he got a side promoted into Bundesliga 2 from regional football.

It’s a better appointment compared to dragging the likes of warnock and co continually out of their armchairs.

Our last few seasons have proven there's a wealth of UK talent in the lower leagues.

Why the constant need to look abroad....?

Always been there just seemed to be trendy (and probably cheaper) to go abroad

Should’ve looked at the disdain of the Plymouth message board when PC was allegedly in the frame. They preferred someone they had never heard of working in Saudi

Some stuff flying about on social media that his replacement at Sunderland, Michael Beale, may be heading out the door already!

Yep its been a disaster since the start to be honest. Mowbray probably shouldnt have gone so they needed to get the replacement right and after some initial promising names they went with Beale which didnt go down well and he's failed to get them onside. Results aside, losing to Mowbray on Saturday having taken the lead wasnt great, when he blanked Trai Hume who has been up there as one of their best players this season after subbing him on Saturday the knives were really out for him.

Big call as to who comes in now...be interesting if they go after Still at Reims again who was heavily linked last time and apparently had talks.

He seems like a massively unlikeable character to be honest.

Mowbray stepping away from managerial role at Birmingham for 6/8 weeks to undergo treatment of serious illness.

Briefly fans werent happy that Mowbray had gone as they were playing some decent football and they liked him, some decent names were linked and even had talks then they ended up with Beale who wasnt a very inspiring appointment. Since then the results havent been great, he said the fans didnt like him because he was a southerner and then at the weekend they lost having been winning and when he took off Trai Hume who has been great this season and a fans favourite he turned his back on Hume when Hume went to shake his hand. Talk is he's a pretty not very nice bloke and QPR aside hasnt done that well in any job.

Now confirmed, whilst he did not get fans onside he was hardly given much of a chance, something seriously up there, mowbray should never have gone
