Happy to go with the flow then re a new board.
Thanks to the person concerned.
Hopefully it will be the 'end of an error message' and not just an end of an era!

A very big thank you to that person.
Have we had any luck with contact from a tech savvy individual yet,as this seems to be the area we are having the problem finding someone rather than the funding?

Gateshead do too after using a costly and outdated one like this

If only we had a low cost, low maintenance solution that could be activated at the drop of a hat.

I kind of promoted that idea a few pages ago by setting up a test message board, just to show what could be done in a short space of time but it was mainly met with indifference as I think most preferred a more complex solution.
It would be nice if we could have an update to establish if anything is going on behind the scenes and of course what the timescales are because initially it sounded quite a pressing issue.
Edit: Perhaps it's not anymore as someone has stepped forward to fund it.

Yea, I noticed someone stepped up with the funds but I’m yet to see anyone come forward to administer it now Rich is hanging up his gloves.

The update
As it stands we could continue as is with the fundingin place but this board version is in much need of some TLC / upgrade which due to various reasons i dont have the time to do currently
The CFSS as an entity no longer exists so who actually owns this im more of a caretaker so i new domain name would be good
I personally think a new start would be best and that needs to be up and running by June with a new andn perhaps some old names running it

What a hypocrite - you are always on that section posting stuff. Although I post on that section I have to take prolonged holidays from it so personally I’m ambivalent about it but I think the danger of not having it is that the political stuff will spread to the main board
It needs moderated so I would say if the moderators want to moderate that section on a forum that works properly let them, otherwise don’t have that section.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, I admit that I do post on there, "always posting stuff" is a bit of a stretch though. I also take holidays from it, just like you.
I dont think its relevent on a messageboard dedicated to a football club. There are hundreds of "political" forums on the web, all there for people to use to their hearts content and lets be honest, the personnel section on this messageboard is more like a political section. Its a political soapbox for a number of people.
Why would it spread to the main board if we didn't have it? Do you think people are not capable of restraint.
Maybe do a democratic poll asking if people want a politics section or not and go with that?
