Did you show it any respect by actually going to the game, with it being on your door step??

With you none response is it fair to assume you couldn't be bothered to go and spent your afternoon posting crap here?

I share the same opinion of many.

The FAT is a competition that has no value realistically.

I was amazed that we didn't have the entire Academy out when we played Southport.

The thing is that the whingers saying we don't take it seriously would bitch and moan massively if we played any of our main squad and got injured.

Can you imagine if we played Grigg/Colclough/Quigley and one/more of them ended up crocked for the rest of the season? We'd never hear the last of it!!

If Town had gone all the way & won it we would have accumulated +£98,000 prize money - Town probably don’t need any more money !

You felt the same about the FA Cup?

This is is ridiculous- it’s a comp we could win - one of the oldest comps in the world and at Wembley.
Hopefully our last chance to win it.
A league / Trophy double would be incredible.

Only you and that perennially negative Walton don’t value it it seems. If the management didn’t value it they wouldn’t go and it would be a massive slap in the face of those who travelled down to watch the game live

It's a meaningless cup competion that will coat us more money than we can win, and then we can boast we beat a bunch of amateurs to win it.
We will get a massive fixture backlog.
It is not one of the oldest cup competions in the world, it is not even one of the oldest cup competions in the country. It started in 1969
Travelling fans were warned well in advance that the kids were playing.

Just imagine we played the full squad today, picked up some long term injuries, and went on a losing run gifting the league title to Bromley by a whisker. We also lose the playoff final to a fortunate Oldham side on penalties.

Glad we’re out, and hopefully never have to play a match in the competition again in our history.

Correct decision from Mr Cook.

Well done to the youngsters you did us proud, but glad we dont have to worry about this tinpot trophy anymore. I was bored out of my skull listening to the commentary, can't wait to go to Barnet next weekend.

On our way back now Dave , the youngsters gave it their best shot but never looked likely to get anything. Welling were awful and are first 11 would have battered them. Danny Webb was there but sat in the stands and let Cluxton to run it. One thing that we did notice was the style of play the ball spent more time in the air than on the ground which wasn't pretty to watch.

Yep. Not much sign of Cookball. We played only Simmo up front who had a thankless task. If the 5 in midfield had been a bit calmer and passed to each other we might have caused them more problems.
As it was their greater stature and strength was always going to be the winner.

I'm a bit long in the tooth to appreciate your irony, if your criticism is meant as such but I certainly don't hate the game or the Club. Clearly I didn't expect a full strength team today and recognise that promotion is the primary aim.
I just don't think it should be to the exclusion of everything else and I was disappointed that we didn't play anything like our best 11 at Watford.
My opinion remains valid as does that of the other 100 plus supporters who also spent a significant sum to cheer on their team today.

Similarly I love the club and football. However, promotion is at the expense of everything this year. And we have a big game on Tuesday.
Interesting you didn’t think we played anywhere near our best 11. Excluding the GK which I admit I’m a Tyrer fan but there isn’t much in it, who else wasn’t in your best 11? I can think of maybe 2 at the most.

Was the same in the previous rounds. We all have our favourites but definitely Tyrer, Grigg and Colclough.

That's not the point though. The Club has the resources to have played a better team and chose not to. Wrong in my book.
