Had a daft bet on Ladbrokes before the line ups where announced (before 2pm) for nine FA Trophy games, and all have been suspended

A Town fan had over a grand on Welling apparently to win on various sites before the odds were pulled apparently. If we lose, which I expect we will comfortably the guy will be 4 or 5 grand up in profit.

Bet365 had us at 4/1 just before kick off. Nothing was pulled as far as I could see across any of the bookies (was looking at a comparison site as the markets shifted).

Well I've cast my eye over barnet, Bromley and altringhams line ups and they have gone reasonably strong for this. So have aldershot but they haven't started so well - 4-0 down in half an hour😬

I’m torn with this, but I think the best thing today would be the kids play well and give a good account of themselves but we lose 2-1. Would love for the kids to go all the way in the comp but not if it means more Sat fixtures getting moved to mid week.

Why would a Chesterfield supporter be so daft enough to want that?
Why support a club if you want them to lose?

Because most people recognise this cup as a risk to our league campaign.

Barely anyone gives a toss about today. Including the management

For me, it's a chance for the young lads to go and shine, whilst playing against a team, way above the quality they're used to playing. I still want them to win though.

You turd.
He's playing the kids. This is a weekend off for the first team, giving them time to rest. If we progress then in the third round they'll be resting again, which is only a good thing.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Will a league game have to be postponed to make way for the next round if we win?

This is twilight zone stuff.

Every shred of sense says all but meaningless Saturday games which'll cost us income are the last thing we need.

But I just can't help thinking "Come on boys!" every time Tooley reports an attack. ..
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

There’s no reason we couldn’t play both games at the same time assuming they aren’t both at home obviously.
