I only realised this had happened today watching the highlights of the WBA game. Unbelievable decision. Really exciting young team. On the bright side it won’t be long before he gets another job. But as others have said knobs at the top with no idea about football.

As I mentioned previously think there is more to it than on field stuff. Mowbray was very close to leaving in the summer to the point the club had other options to look at to replace him. He did great with the young lads they’ve got and making the play offs last season massively exceeded expectations. The club have a plan on how they see recruitment focusing mainly on younger players they think they can develop further to sell on for a profit and I think there have been disagreements in the background over what’s going to happen in January. Think Mowbray wasn’t happy with the forward options, it’s now December and none of their strikers have scored yet, and wanted a more experienced option up top. They’ve currently got a young lad from Chelsea on loan, two young lads both under 20 from Europe and a slightly older but not massively more experienced lad from Ukraine!

Colchester is a traditional club in my eyes, a bit smaller than ourselves in terms of support but bigger than Burton.

Likely to be seen with regularity now. Why wouldn’t any club from the Championship down cast envious eyes at our excellent manager. Just hope he at least stays until the end of this season.

Tbf, it's quite the carrot if it does get dangled in front if him.
Plymouth are 10 points of play offs, transfer window coming up and a promotion away from the Premiership.
No idea what they're like as a club / how well ran they are are / finances ect.

Obvs I'd want him and the staff to say put, finish what they started here, get promotion and kick on.

Maybe he gets enough of job satisfaction here that only the hot seat at Liverpool would tempt him away
