The writing is firmly on the wall for GC I think.

Not wanting to go offtopic, but Woking is local to me - 10 miles - and I worked there.
Woking is one of those places where the council decided they'd go big, and planted at 43 floor monstrocity in the middle of it by my office. As a result you can see Wokings location from a long way away as it isn't that hilly.
Of course Woking BC is now flat broke to the tune of 1.2bn
The expectation was to upgrade the place to tempt city dwellers in London out to the area, but it isn't that attractive frankly. In common with everywhere, new apartments are massively overpriced - same where I live currently. 2-bed for 450K+ is ridiculous.
It was partly on this basis I believe, that Woking FC wanted to upgrade/rebuild the stadium with accomodation as part of the plan in some way.
Where the club is concerned they'll never get much traction in building the fan base.

Maybe there's a bit more ambition.. ( read money to spend ) at Oxford??
Williams saying on his Twitter account re the rumoured Oxford interest..
“There was never an approach therefore I didn’t have a decision to make”..
Hardly a set in concrete I’m happy where I am type of post though.

Matty Etherington confirmed at Colchester
Definitely a shift towards younger/upcoming managers in the lower leagues rather than the usual has-beens' and repeat failures
Caldwell might well find it tough getting another EFL job, even with his seemingly silver tongue.

Ive noticed that too and rightfully so. Get sick of big name ex pros and has beens getting jobs all the time and been rewarded for failure. See guy at oxford only 38

Caldwell will probably pay for an age transplant. Never underestimate that man, apart from his ability to manage a football team.

Interesting to hear the commentators take on their summer signings last night.
“Too many crocks, too many has beens, not enough up and coming players. What were the management thinking?”
Sounds familiar, and look where it got us.

On a side note to this, their lad up front Pavey - think he played for Dover a couple of seasons back and score a few off the bench. Without checking, I think he scored against us??
Looked OK for Dover from the game I saw but looked (and according to Woking commentary) is dogga

It got us Naylor and Jones, among others. It also got us some right lollipops as well, but you can't just write older players off as has-beens. The secret is in the choosing.

Look at the Caldwell situation another way, let him keep his job, Exeter get relegated, we get to play them first game next season and he would recieve a great SMH stadium welcome.
Yorkshire is Yorkshire
Never the twain shall meet.
