Wasn’t there some extenuating circumstances that saved us from being expelled and we won the replayed match? Also wasn’t that when Chris Turner had the drunken sounding interview on national radio?

Yep there was something that meant we didnt get kicked out and had to play again but not sure what it was. We went there and won 1-0 initially thanks to a goal from Gnanduillet then had to go back a month later and won 1-0 again thanks to a Gary Roberts goal. The turner thing rings a bell.

As well as being on the other end when Droylsden beat us and then got kicked out as their goalscorer should have served a one game ban, spotted by Goeff Mitchell IIRC

I don't think so, didn't he pick up a booking or was sent off the weekend before the game and they claimed they knew he was banned but it should have kicked in the day after?!

I think they’d sort of arranged the suspension fir the following Saturday when the FA deemed our replay should be squeezed in prior to that due to the xmas games and a result needed before the third round the first weekend in Jan.
