Not sure if you’re referring to my post as it followed straight after. It’s not negative, just a fact based on previous games. Too easy to fall into the unbeatable mode when we need to keep on our toes.
No team is the same whatever division they play in and we’ve got to be aware of this on Saturday

Cook has been making regular changes despite us winning and I’m fairly sure he knows each team is a different threat more than anyone on here!

However palmer was very good yesterday and whether he plays against Barnet or not is completely irrelevant to praising him for yesterday

I’d imagine Williams injury will dictate Palmer will play because on a day of many positives the only other option, namely Freckleton, in his cameo, gave everyone kittens.

I wasn't referring to you just the negative comments about PC and his time at Pompey
I agree we've got to keep on our toes the nxt match is always the big one for us because we've got to keep winning
There was a lot of good things came out of yesterday's performance I liked the fact that the lads really seamed to be enjoying it and the game was played in a really good spirit
I think the whole day showed the club in a good light!

Just can't understand why people are posting negative comments after a great day
PC has transformed the club he has used a lot of common sense to bring some good players into the club
Naylor for instance is a great signing reminds me of the great Robbo good awareness and always popping up at the right time to score
The performance yesterday would have pleased JD for the way we kept our shape defensively

Who is Robbo? Gary Roberts? You’re comparing Roberts and Naylor?

I just sat down to watch the Pre Match build up that I recorded... some good interviews...and Yes, I am old enough to have queued over night for my semi final ticket in 1997...

Watching Spurs/Chelsea tonight provided vivid memories of the ‘Battle of Saltergate that pockmarked our 1997 FA Cup season.

With KD being the pundit and Jamie being interviewed it would have been a great opportunity to ask them about their part in the mayhem😇

I think we made them look bog standard. We could have been three up by halftime, with a bit of luck.

We’ll get a game slot, there’s still time to change days.
God I hate this league.

What does this mean?
Are you saying in response to Cum on you blues that he isn’t or can’t be working on his pace in training or something?
Why wouldn’t he be?

Yes I liked the way he read the game also great in dead ball situations
I liked the coverage from ITV Sunday the interview with JH and the bit about our goalkeeping history was nice

Pace is one thing but speed of thought is another.

Bobby Moore wasn't fast but very good at being in the right place at the right time.

Will Grigg isn't fast but, again reads the game wel, such as in the way he closed their keeper down in the opening seconds on Sunday.

You can have all the pace in the world but if it's not used properly then you often end up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sir Jack Lester had no pace but what a player he turned out to be

For most top level players, the first yard is in their head.

After Sunday, I’ve wondered if we’ve done Grigg a disservice by saying he’s not fast. He closed down and chased their keeper with surprising speed.
Then I read an old article where he said he went to a Rugby playing school, which, with his height, wasn’t the best for him. However he was ‘fast so they couldn’t catch him’.
And then the goal he scored against Man City, see how he keeps Kyle Walker at bay.

Albeit over 5 years ago now. Presumably he still has speed of thought if not the legs now.
