Seems like their manager would have good future with a good quality team…one to keep an eye on

What a good strike it was only equaled by the keeper tipping it on the bar.
That's the small margins but for King's sake, I wished it had gone in for him. Great snippet of football all round

A bloke behind me was screaming at Tyrer for “not being able to spray out a decent pass” when he miss hit one.
😂
When I was young I always wondered why some folk sat listening to the radio at the match.
Now I understand.

Interesting on a day when there are plaudits at this end for the ref, the opposition aren’t at all happy with the officiating.

Okay, the usual eye rolling at conceding daft goals, but none of the teeth grinding irritation of previous seasons.
That must filter through to the players...

We’ve already done it 5 times.

Got a couple of good midfielders that moved the ball quickly and their attackers looked quite handy.
Like a previous poster put, this year we are doing what Wrexham did last season,we go a goal down there’s no panic, the lads just know they are going to create enough chances to win the game.
It really is a massive turn around from what we’ve witnessed for the last 5 or 6 seasons.
In fact it’s a joy to watch..

And as someone else has said, we the crowd have confidence that we can turn around any game in which we trail, so there’s less panic and less (generally!) negativity from the terraces, helping the team staying calm and carrying on.

Pity he's not gone in to more detail. I honestly can't remember anything too contentious. Maybe it was the very early booking. Maybe their centre forrad really did get elbowed in the head.

The players think they are the best in the League probably for good reason. I don't think that they rate any of the other teams as being a long term threat. That attitude has huge positives but also needs managing. I still reckon that we lost at Alty cos we were over confident on the bench and on the pitch. I hope that game was a wake up call.

I did think virtually every 50:50 throw in decision seemed to go our way.
Forgot about the Grimes fracas. Don’t know what happened there?

I agree that the general trend of decisions (apart from a few handball shouts ) went in our favour for a change.
I had the feeling once it went 3-1 we had a good few opportunities to make 4 or 5 but the highlights didn’t really reflect that. Is that my memory playing up?

The highlights show one of Quigley’s chances and the commentator references one he’d had shortly before which wasn’t shown. Also didn’t include Dobra having a shot blocked from about 10 yards out. Dunno what criteria needs to be met for something to be classed as a highlights, seems so random.

I thought we got the balance of the decisions overall but that may have been because they had 2 booked early on and so the ref was looking out for things from them.
I think Jamie took exception to the grappling in the box. Wealdstone may have been quite refreshing in their approach overall but they did like a bit of a hold in the box. Like most teams I suppose.

Their player was doing some very bad acting by getting up and falling down at least 3 times then holding his head and then looking at the referee for sympathy. No one has mentioned the Wealdstone technical time out in the First half when their keeper went down with a fake injury and all their players rushed over to the manager. I am happy with 3 points but disappointed we didn’t kill then off as we sat back and invited them back into the game in the last 10 minutes. But we are top of the league by 5 points and the leagues highest goal scorers so what is not to enjoy this morning. COYB.

Good point about their unscheduled team talk.
However after the ‘keeper injury’ I dont think he took another goal kick- but perhaps he didn’t before, I can’t recall that but.
