Fair play to Wealdstone - that's the first time I've seen a team come and attack us properly (resulting in their first) rather than just play on the break, albeit meaning they were knackered at the end.

Otherwise, a canter for us, and incredible to bring Dobs, Coco and Quiggers-plays-pop (bada bap-de bap-de bap BAAAA!) in the second half...

This will be our season

Arguably the comfortable win we've been asking for.

Yeah, the by now inevitable daft concessions, but other than that total dominance.

Against part timers who, to their enormous credit, came to play the football many full time outfits baulk at.

MOTM? Gonna say Banks. Every manager's dream in never giving the ball away.

Constructive criticism of a Berry who scored the equaliser and created our second - don't let starting a game inhibit you, pal. Times many he seemed to hold back from a positive run. Gotta play with the freedom he's done when coming on late in games.

PS: how refreshing to have a proper ref....?

I give Banks credit for always being willing to accept the ball, but he was responsible for a lot of late second half turnovers when his passing accuracy and speed weren't up to scratch. In short, he did give the ball away.
My MOM, once again, Mandeville. In spite of playing through a heavy knock.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

We could have won 6-1 their keeper was brilliant 1st half, disappointing that we concede another 2 soft goals even though the 2nd was last kick of match.
Every Town player had a good game, great goal by Jacobs, well done Berry, Quigs. was red hot when he came on.
Rochdale should be exciting on Tuesday lets hope we take a big vocal backing for our Table Toppers.

<div>Great referee and linesmen today really made the game enjoyable to watch, not like that clown last week.</div>

Quigs missed 3 chances. I’m pleased for his start but he wasn’t red hot today.

I've got to admit, the referee tried to let the game flow, and had a decent game apart from missing the penalty.

Sorry to be Dolly Downer, but that last 10 mins needs to be addressed. Acting like we've won and taking the foot off the gas - full knowing how we can capitulate - is an absolute crime. If I was Cook, I'd be tearing them a new one.
Could see their 2nd goal coming a mile off and, if there was anymore time left, I'd have expected an equaliser.
3 point yes, but the closing stages gas really taken the shine off

Totally agree with you , should have been comfortable and in control at 3-1. Good job he didn't add anymore time on!!!

Mandy or Jones (again) for me. Really pleased for Berry - goal and assist. Think he will only grow and get better.
Banks was ok but seems to slow it down for me. I’m expecting NAYLOR straight back in on Tuesday.
What a squad we have though - big call on the right back for Tuesday and the 3 behind Grigg

Well, 1 chance when he was through and the keeper saved with his feet…….but don’t let the facts get in the way of your hatred for him….,

Yes he missed chances but he really turned their defence inside out at times and kept pressure off our defence. I've never been his biggest fan but give credit where its due.

Only grumbles are still passing sideways and backwards, and lessons still not learned from the slackness of the defence.

I find stuff like this so tiresome. This is how we wear teams down and why we score so many goals in the second half. Found it so annoying when some of our fans were whinging in the second half for passing around the back, we instantly played out and almost bagged.

A bloke behind me was screaming at Tyrer for “not being able to spray out a decent pass” when he miss hit one.

😂

When I was young I always wondered why some folk sat listening to the radio at the match.
Now I understand.

King needs to start. Such a threat from free kicks, crossing and coming inside to shoot. His brilliant free kick in the first half was only kept out by a world class save. Plus it frees Mandy up.

King should start. His threat from free kicks, crossing and coming in on his left is there to see. His free kick in the first half was top draw and only kept out by a world class save.
