Could see their 2nd goal coming a mile off and, if there was anymore time left, I'd have expected an equaliser.
3 point yes, but the closing stages gas really taken the shine off

Sorry to be Dolly Downer, but that last 10 mins needs to be addressed. Acting like we've won and taking the foot off the gas - full knowing how we can capitulate - is an absolute crime. If I was Cook, I'd be tearing them a new one.

Similarly, we played quite well too and should have scored more goals. I was pleased to see King back and have a decent game. Jacobs goal was a peach and Berry took his goal crisply to give us another couple of scorers to add to the lengthening list. It's the first time I've seen Freckleton in a blue shirt and I'm not too sure he's comfortable at LB. However, he was playing in a defense that seems confident it will leak a goal at any time. Tyrer had to make a couple of saves too.
Any road up, we won but at 3-1 it seemed as if we were trying to slow things down and conserve energy with Tuesday in mind. So 5 points clear after 11 games with plenty of things to work on is an excellent position to be in. The focus has to be on the next match now which won't be an easy game but we tend to play better against the better teams and we have a few of them to come in the next quarter of the season. Confidence breads confidence and results follow as long as over confidence and expectancy doesn't creep in.
In many ways it was an enjoyable game and I'd like to think that other visiting teams will set out to make future games enjoyable too.

As I saw it was. It hit his arm and his arm was tucked into his body so a penalty would have been harsh.
I always measure the ability of the ref on the number of cards PC gets. Nil cards means good ref.

Agree totally.
Came out happy but with a slight tinge of disappointment about letting in that last goal. Was the most comfortable we've looked heading into injury time but as soon as the fourth held the board up we allowed them to push forward and it was the only time they entered our side of the pitch all 2nd half.

Anyone know why Cook was on the bench, I thought he was banned today. I’d assume we’ve either appealed or he’s to face a disciplinary panel who may extend the ban from one game?

Only grumbles are still passing sideways and backwards, and lessons still not learned from the slackness of the defence.
But still more positives than negatives, and I've had worse days.

The powers that be watched the match and decided that PC was well within his rights to call the ref effing useless?

That passing sideways and backwards has netted us a shed load of goals.

Agree, Pleasedas punch with another win, BUT we must sort out leaking goals like we do. We can never relax .

They looked dead on their feet near the end- part timers aren’t they, so that made sense, only question was could we score more to extend our goal difference?
Don’t know what happened then once the added time was announced They knocked it around like they were winning 4-0, kicking back to the keeper from the halfway line with only 2 minutes of injury time remaining- then passing and moving it around like we were statues culminating in scoring an easy goal. Good job the ref didn’t find another 2 minutes from somewhere.

From where I was sat his arm was well away from his body and he took control of the ball. Deffo a penalty for me

We’ve scored 29 goals playing the way we play. It could have been more if it wasn’t for some excellent goal keeping displays in the last few games. It’s got something to do with keeping possession and waiting for the right moment instead of just constantly lumping it I think.

More comfortable than the scoreline suggested as we could’ve run up 5 after our third went in. On the other hand if the one that hit the post went it would’ve been panic station

Yeah, the by now inevitable daft concessions, but other than that total dominance.
Against part timers who, to their enormous credit, came to play the football many full time outfits baulk at.
MOTM? Gonna say Banks. Every manager's dream in never giving the ball away.
Constructive criticism of a Berry who scored the equaliser and created our second - don't let starting a game inhibit you, pal. Times many he seemed to hold back from a positive run. Gotta play with the freedom he's done when coming on late in games.
PS: how refreshing to have a proper ref....?
