Haydn, and their left back, were terrific. We got far more joy down the right. IMHO.

Except of course, ironically, the goal that won us the game!

It seems obvious (to me anyway!) that our game plan is to score goals from the two wing positions, hence loads of shots (and goals) from Mandeville and colclough. Grigg is doing his job occupying central defenders to make space for the wingers to operate in. So long as he is in the right place to pounce on any scraps (which is where I can see most of his goals coming from) then he is doing his job.

We could have Harry kane up front and the result would be the same...

All that good work unravelled by the last two sentences

well, just finished watching the whole game. Suffice to say, my opinion on Grigg's performance differs from Bonnyman's. There was no pace anywhere, so not my idea of a classic. Perhaps it was the pitch, dunno.
Mandeville's forrad thinking and creativity in the final third was missed imo, so I'd be restoring him to the '3' but I don't suppose Cook will.

Hayden Hollis their MOM by miles. I don't know how many games he's played since his terrible injury but he looked completely at home, in charge.
COYBs.

Suffice to say you watched 10% of the game and I watched 100%

…and the highlights excluded his burst forward on the right in the 1st half only to arrive in a dead end due to lack of speed and physical presence.
Don’t get me wrong I think he’ll come good but he needs to work seriously on these two aspects to make a big impression. Scoring penalties isn’t enough in this league

I’d say the jury is out on Griggs

Perhaps he should be getting on the end of some of these crosses. I thought he’d be **** hot on those.

Why assume that with his goal scoring history/record ?
God I hate this league.

Other than Naylor, I think we’re guilty of offering long contracts to players that are Long post their best, Jacobs and Grigg have dropped down for a reason, they have both seen much better days. I feel that if the manager has offered then both 3 year contracts, he must feel that he can get a tune out of them both, fingers crossed he’s right.

The flick around the corner to Mandeville. The run into the box. Finishes with aplomb. What a player.

We pay him a fortune in wages to score goals he even said he would do better than Mullins what a joke .
He would struggle to score in the northern conference

So effective, he's off at the 70th minute mark.

JQ to the rescue. Not a criticism of Grigg but the selection from the start. Can anyone justify DJ playing 70 minutes ? Baffling imo

And yet despite all the opinions about how the selections are so wrong, we are top of the leave with an average of 2.5 points.
