If your expectation is that if Grigg is going to physically dominate CB’s then no wonder you’re disappointed

There’s going to be a lot of eggs on faces at the end of the year when we have won the league and he’s got 20 plus

itll just be something along the lines of 'chances we create any decent forward would have got 35+' or 'id get 20 in our side'

It’s not that long ago since your response to everything was “did you go” or “where you there” and if not you were a part time supporter who wasn’t allowed an opinion.

What a great response

Last week it was the keeper

Now we have a clean sheet it’s bash Grigg time because he’s not scored 17 goals in. 9 games

So if Grigg bags a couple and we keep a clean sheet where next on the bobs board bingo ?

Jacobs ? He seems to be the next in line

Oh and for the record Griggs hold up play channel
Running allowing space for others creating angles for midfielders has been second to none

But hey I only see what I see actually watching the team play

Where’s the bashing, the opening post asked what fans opinions was? I hope he does get 20 goals he certainly should in this league, which IMO looks poorer than last year but we do have a better side,I don’t agree with all the talk of his great movement and I am very surprised up to yet by his distinct lack of pace, especially for a player who is possibly the highest earner on a 3 year deal, personally I want to see more,Quigleys contribution far outstripped his yesterday, let’s hope he is still finding his feet in the team

Highlights not out yet. When they are I hope they are extensive, so we can see Griggs contribution to what's been reported as a comprehensive drubbing. What do you think the experts on here will write?

Well I watched the game, beer free, thought his movement was better first half, but was slightly shocked when he peeled off right got the ball and got closed down easily,we were in a different class to them, probably 70 % possession ,jack lester would score 50 in a season at this level.

Tbf, not much came down our right. I thought their left back and left centre half were excellent. I recall Ryan getting eased off the ball several times by their powerful left back.

The end of the thread, right here 👆 If he goes ten without scoring, maybe there might be a point behind all this bizarre scapegoating. Bet that doesn't happen, though.

Full credit to their keeper. Some unbelievable saves. Doubt he’s had a better game in his career. Sending off is a joke.

Shocking second yellow from the ref for Jacobs, he’d barely held the ball before he brandished the second yellow!

I watched the match live and had no idea what Jacobs was sent off for, I must have looked away for a couple of seconds. Having watched it again that’s never been time wasting in a month of Sundays. Absolutely bizarre by the ref.

One mention in six minutes of highlights. Obviously his ‘movement’ won’t be name checked.

well, just finished watching the whole game. Suffice to say, my opinion on Grigg's performance differs from Bonnyman's. There was no pace anywhere, so not my idea of a classic. Perhaps it was the pitch, dunno.
Mandeville's forrad thinking and creativity in the final third was missed imo, so I'd be restoring him to the '3' but I don't suppose Cook will.

Hayden Hollis their MOM by miles. I don't know how many games he's played since his terrible injury but he looked completely at home, in charge.

It seems obvious (to me anyway!) that our game plan is to score goals from the two wing positions, hence loads of shots (and goals) from Mandeville and colclough. Grigg is doing his job occupying central defenders to make space for the wingers to operate in. So long as he is in the right place to pounce on any scraps (which is where I can see most of his goals coming from) then he is doing his job.

We could have Harry kane up front and the result would be the same...

I take it you missed the number of times their goalie made great saves after their defence was breached.

Haydn, and their left back, were terrific. We got far more joy down the right. IMHO.
