You post that I responded to was in agreement with this statement 'This forum has become an embarrassment to our club. This is how we’re portraying CFC fans to other onlookers reading in, it’s pathetic.' I don't agree with that as it's too broad and does a disservice to the vast majority on here who post interesting stuff.

For what it's worth, I agree with your more nuanced comment in your follow up post 'However, the constant bickering / childish arguments between a few posters makes some threads borderline unreadable. It is embarrassing.'

It's some of the people; some of the time.

It’s some of the same people, a lot of the time. It’s very rare a thread isn’t ruined by children comments, childish squabbles or childish trolling

I’d say a good % if threads eventually end up unreadable..this one’s on the cusp looking at some recent contributions

Exactly. The majority of posters come on here and have really valid discussions / debates. Some just post insults at eachother.

What are fans opinions on Griggs today my opinion is he just does not suit our formation, the technical players need a target man to play off and he isn't cutting the mustard, came deep a few times but just cannot run the line as he isn't strong enough or quick enough,a great fox in the box but imo it's the wrong man for the job and quiggers although limited gave their defenders hell in his role today playing a huge part in the goal then using his physique to win set pueces grigg imo is a forward who should be in a two upfront

Grigg just doesn’t seem bothered enough to bust a gut and compete. Fair play to Quigley this afternoon - excellent cameo. Strong, involved, committed, helped us see the game out for the front.
These go to eleven.

People bang on about Grigg not scoring enough. Does it matter? He works hard and has yet to be on the losing side in a blue shirt. Poleon has 7 for Ebbsfleet but they are mid table mediocrity. Plenty of teams have won leagues before with the main striker barely scraping double figures. It’s a team game,

Yes fair play to quiggers ,I'm not his greatest fan but he is honest and is a focal point,he was superb today when he came on

Grigg has a goal every other game. He’s played 8 scored 4. He’s on course to score 20+. I can’t see what people are complaining about. I think he’s made a very good start.

It's not the goals we have plenty of goals it's not even about him it's what suits the formation and for me he isn't the correct piece in the jigsaw

Grigg takes defenders with him creating space for others, the team is starting to click, if it ain’t broke don’t change it

Others have said it but we will give a team a good hiding soon.

On another note just seen some of Kidderminster v Solihull, neither side frightens me

Big shout out to Quigs. putting himself about especially in the last 10mins, taking pressure off our defence. We must have had about 17 corners, the home side were poor and were lucky to get away with nil, their keeper was motm.

Absolutely bang on, just because he didn’t score today (if it wasn’t for the keeper, he’d have had at least two today)…people are blinded by his off the ball intelligence & focus on goals scored
Grigg is a crucial player for us…by the way….played 9, won 7, 23 goals & top of the league…don’t underestimate Griggs contribution in achieving that goal tally throughout the team

Yes, I went to the game. You had a couple of digs on the match thread that I’ve seen but got no bites so came here to post your negative drivel again. Can you remember when Will Grigg was on fire? When he got the 4 million or whatever it was move to Sunderland? Who was his manager at the time? Did he play in a 2 up top? Did he play a different system to the one we are playing in now where his goal ratio is 1 in 2? I suggest it might be you who knows nowt..

Wasn't after bites nor am I after goal ratios,I'm after a centre forward who fits the system we play at present I don't see he does, this was highlighted to the extent when Quigley came on,I don't care if he cost 4 million ,eoin Doyle did not cost much and he fitted the system,we go wide too many times with him up front and if you can't play it into your 10 you can't get runners running beyond him,it's either pace or size for me in this league.

We’re top of the league what on earth are you banging on about? As you aren’t even clever enough to answer the questions I asked you Paul Cook was Griggs manager during the most successful period of his career where he also played up front on his own in exactly the same system that we are playing now.

But we have a midfielder on 5 goals, he's a striker, he's there to score goals, I don't get this 'he's not there to just score goals' bullshìt, it's what he's paid to do, and in this team, the balls we put in the box, (especially today)the thru balls we have put thru, ( not enuff I grant ya) but when we have he's missed 1 on 1's he had a chance today, beat 1 defender, then didn't have the pace to trouble the next, he really should be on the score sheet more than he is...

all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+
