Hartelpool (H): Goals for Colclough, Grimes and Naylor. Assist for the 1st for Mandy but not sure what to do about the 2nd and 3rd. Could argue Naylor's was an assist as he headed off the bar, and could argue that Grigg's was an assist as the ball came off him last, but as neither were meant to be set ups I'm not going to count them.

Think Grigg's is more of an assist than Naylor's but ultimately wouldn't count either

If grigg touched it last which it looked like then that's an assist I'd say

Naylor no assist

So gonna try and decide who gets what given the awful camera angle and goal mouth scrambles...

First: Colclough, no assist. Palmer gets a touch, it then hits their player, then goes into a mass of bodies and apparently Coco puts it into the net.
Second: Grigg, no assist. Comes off their keeper.
Third: I think it's an own goal. Doesn't appear to touch Naylor. This begs the question, can you assist an own goal? I say no, so no assist for Mandy (so harsh given his excellent delivery during this match).
Fourth: Quigley goal, no assist.

Any disagreements?

Just checking your sums, Goku, and you seem to only have a total of 21 goals but the league table says we've scored 22 of which Naylor has scored 3 I believe.

His third didn’t actually come off him so I couldn’t give him the goal I’m afraid. He did a very convincing run and celebration but if you watch the highlights carefully he doesn’t touch the ball.

I can if it's an own goal! Yes it was officially awarded to Naylor but he didn't touch the ball so I can't give it him. There's no dubious goals panel in the National League, so scorers can be recorded incorrectly.

Anyway, Dobra opens his account and Berry gets his second assist vs Ebbsfleet.

Grigg's 5th in 9 games puts him joint top scorer with Coco. Williams bags his 2nd of the season and JQuigz is on 3 like the absolute madlad he is. Meanwhile in assist land, Mandy grabs 2 putting him on 6, far out in the front and Freckleton registers his first assist with another quality ball down the left.

Berry and Jacobs grab their first Spireite goals whilst Mandeville nets his 4th of the season. As for the assists... I'm not sure. Is the 2nd goal an assist by Grigg or Berry or was the last touch off the defender? And did Grigg poke the ball on for Jacobs to run on to for our 3rd? Genuinely unsure. I think Grigg pokes it on so I think I'm going to give him an assist for the 3rd, and I reckon the ball rebounds off him for our 2nd too but not sure I can count that as an assist as it's a scramble. Any thoughts?

I thought the keeper got a touch to divert it in to Mandys path for the second but its impossible to tell from the highlights
